Calling Artists for the 2026 Festival of the Arts.

The St Hilda’s Foundation Festival of the Arts is one of our community’s most beloved annual events, bringing together artists, art lovers and supporters from across the Gold Coast and beyond.

The Festival has transformed our campus into a vibrant gallery space, showcasing an incredible collection of artworks from both emerging and established artists. From breathtaking paintings and photography to sculpture and mixed media, the exhibition celebrates the depth of talent within our local and wider artistic community.

More than an art exhibition, the Festival of the Arts is a celebration of creativity, connection and culture. It is an opportunity to discover new artists, invest in original works, and enjoy a truly inspiring experience while supporting the work of the St Hilda’s Foundation.

We are currently inviting artists to submit their work and be part of this highly anticipated event. Whether you are an established artist or emerging creative, we would love to showcase your talent alongside an exceptional collection of works.

Join us in making this year’s Festival of the Arts our most inspiring yet.

Artwork submissions are now open and close on 3 July 2026, link in bio.

A day of discovery, reflection and understanding.

Our Year 11 Study of Religion students recently stepped beyond the classroom to explore two significant places of worship, visiting a Buddhist Temple and Mosque as part of their studies.

Through experiences including meditation, Tai Chi, calligraphy and a traditional tea ceremony, students gained insight into Buddhist beliefs and practices, while learning the importance of mindfulness and thoughtful living.

At the Mosque, students witnessed midday prayer and heard from Imam Gamal Fouda, whose powerful personal story left a lasting impression. His reflections on compassion, forgiveness and kindness offered valuable lessons that resonated deeply with our students.

As a Christian Anglican school, we value opportunities for students to engage respectfully with people of all faiths and backgrounds. These experiences open meaningful dialogue and create space for discovery, reflection and understanding, while deepening our appreciation of both our own traditions and those of others.

Experiences such as these help bring learning to life, fostering understanding, empathy and respect for diverse faiths and cultures within our global community.

Girls Excelling in Emerging Spaces.

Last week, our students took to the dance floor at the 'FUSE Cup, Just Dance' competition, joining schools from across the Gold Coast for a day filled with connection, community and fun.

While our teams proudly danced their way into the semi finals, the true highlight was seeing students build new friendships, learn about gaming and online safety, and celebrate one another's unique talents, strengths and individuality.

The day was a wonderful reminder of the positive impact gaming communities can have when they are built on inclusion, respect and belonging.

Congratulations to both teams on the enthusiasm, sportsmanship and courage they demonstrated throughout the competition. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented St Hilda's.

We are also excited to continue creating opportunities for girls in gaming and eSports and look forward to hosting the FUSE Cup Girl Gamer Gold Coast competition next term.
