💙 Back to St Hilda’s Weekend 2026

A beautiful weekend of memories, friendship and the sisterhood that connects generations of St Hilda’s women.

Beginning with our St Hilda’s Day Assembly and traditional ball games on the Oval, our community also gathered for the annual Ramsey Family Basketball Memorial Match, honouring beloved daughter, sister and friend, Sherilee Ramsey. We thank the Ramsey family and all who continue this special tradition, ensuring Sherilee’s love of sport and legacy shine brightly.

The celebrations continued with the OGA Cocktail Party and launch of the Festival of the Arts, followed the next morning by a moving Chapel Service, where our Junior Choir brought a tear to our eyes with their song, 'We Still Call St Hilda’s Home', before school tours and our much-loved and anticipated Brunch on the Green.

Over 250 St Hilda's Old Girls returned for reunions, shared stories and embraced friendships that have lasted across the years.

Some weekends are best told through the photos, in the smiles, embraces and unmistakable joy of coming back to St Hilda's. 💙

🎨 Celebrating Festival of the Arts 2026

What a wonderful two days celebrating creativity, community and the Arts at St Hilda’s!

Last weekend our Festival of the Arts (FOTA) transformed the St Hilda's School, Granowski Auditorium into a beautiful gallery, showcasing an inspiring collection of works from talented artists, with many pieces finding new homes throughout the exhibition.

Opening Night was also a wonderful celebration of our Old Girls’ Back to St Hilda’s Weekend, made even more memorable by our talented student String Ensemble, whose beautiful performance accompanied guests as they explored the exhibition and connected with our community.

Thank you to our artists, musicians, guests, volunteers, staff and everyone who purchased artwork and helped make FOTA 2026 such a success. Your support contributes to the important work of the St Hilda’s Foundation.

A St Hilda’s tradition with heart. 💛

Yesterday, our school celebrated as 50 of our Year 12 girls came together to donate their hair for this incredible fundraising efforts for Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project. This annual tradition sees our girls grow their hair before bravely making the chop for a cause that touches so many.

In a deeply moving moment Lily shared from the heart about the impact cancer has had on her family. There wasn’t a dry eye in the hall as her older sister and St Hilda’s Old Girl later joined the celebrations on stage to help chop the locks.

Together our girls and community have raised an extraordinary $45,518 to support the fight against cancer. It is a beautiful demonstration of courage, generosity and service.

There’s still time to support their efforts and add to this incredible total.

Always great to hear from our community! Our 2026 Festival of the Arts (FOTA) was brilliant in so many ways and here’s a small snap shot of some of the feedback from opening night last Friday.

✨ Celebrating St Hilda's Day ✨

Yesterday, our whole School community celebrated St Hilda's Day, honouring the woman whose kindness, wisdom and care for others continue to inspire our School.

When our foundation Principal, Miss Catherine Bourne, named our School St Hilda's in 1912, she chose more than a name. She chose a legacy. One that lives on through our values of Love, Compassion, Forgiveness, Hope and Grace and our motto, Non Nobis Solum - Not For Ourselves Alone.

St Hilda's brilliance was never loud. It was steady, purposeful and rooted in service, learning and connectedness. A dream of brilliance first written about by Bede in the 8th century, one that still lives in the heart of every girl who walks through our gates.

Our St Hilda's Day Assembly celebrated these values, with the Archbishop of Brisbane, Jeremy Greaves, joining our students and staff. Celebrations continued with Old Girls returning for Ball Games, reconnecting with friends and joining current students for a day of fun and community.

St Hilda's Day reminds us our School is more than a place. It's a community connected across generations, bound by shared history and values.

Featuring an inspiring collection of works from talented artists, this is your chance to discover and purchase, art that is truly special, all while supporting the St Hilda’s Foundation.

Proceeds from the sale of works at the event support the charitable work of the St Hilda’s Foundation.

If you can’t join us this evening, the exhibition will remain open in the Granowski Auditorium until Saturday, 4.00pm.
