Your dog doesn't know koalas are endangered. Training is how you bridge that gap. 🐨🐾
A few things that make a real difference:
🐾 Keep your dog on-lead in koala habitat, especially at dawn and dusk 🐾 Redirect their attention before they get a chance to react 🐾 Practise Leave It and recall regularly so they're reliable when you need them

A dog that pulls makes every walk harder than it needs to be. 🐾
Loose-lead walking comes down to one rule – a tight lead stops the walk, a loose lead continues it. Stop the moment they pull. Move forward the moment they ease off and check back in with you.
It feels painfully slow at first. Stick with it. Short sessions in a quiet spot, then build up to busier environments as they get the hang of it.
No special gear required, just consistency and good timing. 🍖

The Leave It cue starts with a closed fist and a lot of patience. 🐾
Hold a treat in your fist. Let your dog sniff and paw at it. The moment they back off, say "yes!" and reward from your other hand. That gap where they choose to disengage is exactly what you're building on.
Keep practising and it becomes something you can rely on out in the real world. 🐨
