Our Senior Boys Basketball Team returned from the Adventist National Games with plenty to celebrate: fifth place nationally, two individual honours and a new confidence in what they can achieve.

What stood out was the way the team played generously, creating opportunities for one another so the whole team could shine.

“We got to compete against larger schools and even though we’re a smaller school, we did really well. It showed us what’s possible.” - Jesse

Beyond the court, students worshipped with other Adventist schools and served at Avondale House, singing with residents and spending time hearing their stories.

Congratulations to the whole team, with special recognition to Arlyn, who received the Senior Boys Sportsperson Award as voted by opposing coaches, and Dabi, who received an Avondale University Lift Your Life Scholarship for embodying the character and spirit of the Games.

We’re incredibly proud of the way the team represented Graceview through excellence, teamwork, service and sportsmanship. Well done to our 2026 Senior Boys Basketball Team: Jesse, Dabi, Immanuel, Jacob, Arlyn, Jayden, Miles, Harrison and Oliver.

💚 Lights out, learning on! Our Year 2 classroom was glowing as students explored Maths, English and Science during Glow Week.

From measuring capacity with glowing water to making glow-in-the-dark slime, writing procedures and exploring space, familiar curriculum concepts became colourful, hands-on experiences designed to make learning stick.

“Glow Week is an immersive learning experience where the kids get to experience their normal learning, but it’s all glow-in-the-dark themed. Whether we’re doing procedure writing, Maths or Science, I just want to make learning as engaging as possible.” - Miss Tess Browne, Year 2 Teacher

🌏 Our Year 4 students created a vibrant celebration of global cultures, foods and dress as the culmination of their Civics and Citizenship unit. Students chose a country to explore, researching its history, traditions and way of life before writing an informative report and creating a colourful tourist brochure. Parents and friends joined us as special guests, enjoying an international feast and celebrating the students’ creativity, hard work and growing appreciation for the rich diversity of our wonderful world. 🌏

At Graceview, we believe in the power of support and encouragement.

Throughout the year, our music students have opportunities to perform for their peers, allowing the whole student body to practice the important skills of encouraging, celebrating and cheering others on.

Through music, students learn discipline, courage and the joy of contributing something beautiful to their community. And through being an audience and cheering others on, all our students learn the power of giving support and encouragement.

To conclude Week of Worship, our Secondary Student Representative Council hosted IMPACT, a student-led evening where Year 7-12 students came together for BBQ, games, worship and a message shared by Year 12 student, Jesse.

We believe every young person has leadership potential. Throughout their time at our College, students are given opportunities to organise, create, speak, serve and lead. IMPACT is one of the many ways our students grow in confidence and use their gifts to help shape our Christ-centred community.

When we asked our students what our school feels like to them, Ezekiel said, “Our school is where I belong.”

We love being a Gold Coast school! From rainforests and beaches to wildlife sanctuaries and national parks, our students have the privilege of experiencing the beauty and diversity of God's creation right here on our doorstep.

Our Year 7 students loved visiting Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary to put their science studies into action by observing animals, exploring habitats and applying their scientific classification skills. ⭐

Along the way, they were also reminded of our responsibility to care for the world God has entrusted to us.

Our Year 11 students had an unforgettable journey to Central Australia, exploring some of the country's most iconic landscapes. From hiking Kings Canyon and walking around Uluru to sleeping in swags beneath star-filled skies, every challenge became an opportunity to discover something new about themselves, one another and the God who created this remarkable land.

These are the experiences that shape young people for life.
