Join us as we walk to school from Merv Craig Sporting Ground this Friday 16 October!

An InForm permission slip has been sent to all families to indicate participation. Families are invited to walk alongside our students, and St A’s staff will be on hand to supervise the walk up Galleon Way.

As a special treat, Laura Ge**er MP, Member for Currumbin, will be at St A’s to welcome our walkers and hand out fresh fruit on arrival. 🍎🍌🍊

We look forward to seeing our school community come together for a healthy, active and fun start to the day!

Congratulations to Mr Alan Dick who was awarded Educator of the Year at the 2026 McPherson Honours tonight. The McPherson Honours is an initiative of our Federal MP, Leon Rebello, and was designed to acknowledge the hard work of people from many different organisations in our community.

Alan has spent 48 years of his teaching career at St A’s. He has been an inspiration to many of us and tonight’s award is a testament to a long career spent educating our local children. Alan has spent his career away from the spotlight, so this award shines a light on his dedication and commitment to the betterment of our community.

Thank you to Leon and his team for putting on a wonderful awards night. Congratulations to all of the finalists and award winners. 💙 💛

What an incredible achievement for our St A’s chess stars! On Wednesday of Week 9, a team of 43 students from Years 3-6 represented St Augustine’s at the annual Coastal Interschool Chess Competition at Emmanuel College, competing against students from 12 other schools across seven challenging rounds.

Our students demonstrated outstanding skill, concentration, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the day, culminating in the strongest chess performance in St Augustine’s history!
