Check out our upcoming free dress days as we celebrate a fantastic Term 2!
There is no cost to take part. These special days are all about wellbeing and giving our students a chance to enjoy something a little different as we finish the term on a high.
A quick reminder that students should wear enclosed footwear, so no Crocs, thongs or sandals, along with sun safe clothing with covered shoulders.
We’re looking forward to seeing lots of colour, smiles and school spirit! 💙 💛

We had a full house at Friday Football Club today to celebrate the start of the World Cup! There was heaps of excitement as students gathered at lunchtime to catch the live match together. The energy was unreal!
While we’re proudly backing the Socceroos and counting down to our Green and Gold Day in Week 10, it’s been great to see the rich diversity of our St A’s community shine through. Thanks to our families, many of our students have a second team to cheer on as well.
Have a look at some of the countries our students are supporting this month – it’s truly a global celebration right here at St A’s! ⚽🌍💚💛

Congratulations to our students who received their Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist last Sunday. What a special milestone in their faith journey.
It was wonderful to see our students and families gathered together to celebrate this important occasion. May this sacrament continue to guide and strengthen them as they grow in faith.
A special thank you to Fr Noy, our Parish Priest, and Julie, our Parish Ministry Coordinator, for all of your hard work in preparing the children. 🙏 ✝️

Today we’re celebrating World School Officers Day! 💙 💛
We’re so lucky to have such a wonderful team of School Officers at St A’s who do so much across our school each day. Whether they’re in the classroom, the office or supporting behind the scenes, they make a real difference to our students and staff.
We couldn’t do it without you. Thanks for everything you do, not just today but every day!

Watch out, Marvel Universe! 💥🦸♂️🦸♀️
Our Preps, with the help of their amazing Year 5 buddies, had a fantastic time designing and creating their own superhero gadgets today! From clever inventions to imaginative designs, there was so much creativity on display.
It was wonderful to see our older students guiding, encouraging and inspiring our youngest learners. What a powerful example of teamwork and buddy spirit! ⭐️
Which gadget would you choose to save the day? 🛠️✨

National Reconciliation Week, held from 27 May to 3 June, was a time to reflect on our shared histories, cultures and achievements.
This year’s theme, “All In,” reminds us that we each have a role to play in building respectful relationships and an inclusive future.
As a school community, we marked this week by creating a collaborative display wall, with every student contributing a handprint or name piece to show their commitment to making a positive difference. Together, these small but meaningful contributions create a powerful reminder that we are stronger when we stand united. 🤝

Last Wednesday, 57 chess students from Years 3–6 headed to St Kevin’s for a big day of competitive chess.
They played seven rounds against students from 10 other Gold Coast schools, showing impressive focus, resilience, and plenty of strategic thinking. Along the way there were clever moves, dramatic checkmates, and the occasional surprised look when a queen was caught out.
Most importantly, our students represented the school brilliantly, demonstrating excellent sportsmanship and fair play throughout the day. There were several notable individual successes, with strong results against experienced opponents, and many students showed clear improvement as the rounds progressed.
A fantastic effort by all involved, and a great reminder that chess is about thinking ahead, respecting your opponent, and enjoying the challenge. A big thank you to St Kevin’s for hosting the event each year.
Photos and results from the day are in this week’s newsletter. At assembly this afternoon, we will present awards to the students who placed in their division. ♟️ 🏅
