Over the last two days, we have held the finals of our annual Kate Pagano Public Speaking Competition! 🎤🌟

Congratulations to all of our winners and finalists. Standing in front of an audience and delivering a speech takes courage, confidence and preparation, and every student who participated should be incredibly proud of their efforts.

This competition is held each year in honour of Kate Pagano, our much-loved Speech and Drama teacher, whose passion for helping students find their voice continues to inspire generations of St A’s students.

We were delighted to welcome Kate’s daughter, Monica, and granddaughter, Macy, who joined us to adjudicate the Year 4-6 finals. We were also fortunate to have Laura Ge**er MP join us on Day 2 to assist with adjudicating our Junior School speeches. Thank you to these wonderful ladies for sharing your time, expertise and encouragement with our students.

Well done to everyone involved in another fantastic celebration of public speaking at St A’s! 👏🎙️

Today, 9 of St A’s fabulous Francophiles proudly represented our school at the annual LTQ Gold Coast Languages Speech Contest.

Each student delivered a one-minute speech entirely from memory to a panel of three judges before answering random questions on the spot, all in French! Their confidence, preparation and courage were truly impressive, and their performances were nothing short of magnifique.

Good luck to our District Athletics Team as they head to the Oceanic District Trials at Runaway Bay today and tomorrow!

Our students will proudly be competing in their brand new representative singlets, made possible through the generous support of the Currumbin RSL Community Grants Program. 👏

We are incredibly grateful for the Currumbin RSL’s continuous support of not only St Augustine’s, but also the many community organisations they assist throughout our region. Thank you for helping our students look and feel their best as they represent our school on the district stage!

Go St A’s! 💪🏅 💙 💛
