🧪 Our Little Cubs are getting ready for Science Week! 🔬

This week our little scientists were busy mixing, pouring and experimenting as they explored colours, textures and reactions through hands-on play.

Lots of curious minds asking the most important question in science… “What happens if I do this?” ✨

We can’t wait for more experimenting next week!

🐞🦋 BugKidz visited Jungle Gems this week! 🪲

Our Gems loved getting up close with a variety of bugs this week while discovering the important role they play in our environment. It was a fun, hands-on learning experience that sparked plenty of curiosity!
Best of all, this exciting BugKidz incursion was included as part of our program at no additional cost to families. 💚

🚆 Rail Safety at Jungle Gems! 🚦

Today we welcomed Mr Kyle, a special visitor from Queensland Rail who helped our Gems learn all about staying safe around trains, trams and railway crossings. Through fun songs & discussions, the children explored important rail safety rules, asked thoughtful questions, and discovered why it’s so important to always stop, look, listen and stay alert near railway tracks.

A big thank you to Queensland Rail for helping our little learners build lifelong safety awareness! 💙🚉

✨ Learning, Reflecting, Growing ✨
Happy NAIDOC Week! In recognition of NAIDOC Week our team engaged in a powerful professional development to ensure Indigenous perspectives are meaningfully woven into everything we do.

We are particularly inspired by Dadirri—the practice of deep listening and quiet stillness. In a busy world, teaching children to stop, listen, and connect with Nature and each other is a beautiful gift.

Don’t mind our outfits, we also had a dressed rehearsal for upcoming Pyjama Day. Looking good ladies!

Growing Healthy Smiles & Confident Children 😁😁😁

At Jungle Gems, learning goes beyond the classroom. We create meaningful experiences that nurture children’s health, wellbeing, and independence from the very beginning.

Today, Dental2You joined us for a special visit where our little gems learned about dental care, healthy habits, and the importance of looking after their smiles. 🪥

With curiosity, confidence, and bravery, our children embraced their dental checks — turning a dentist visit into a positive learning experience.

Because at Jungle Gems, every moment is an opportunity to learn, grow, and shine. 😊

What an incredible team-building day! 🎨✨

This weekend was all about working together, supporting one another, and making sure everyone felt included. Watching our team collaborate, encourage each other, and share plenty of laughs reminded us just how lucky we are to have such an amazing group of people.

We can confidently say that our team is full of hidden talents and creative artists! From impressive artistic skills to innovative ideas, everyone brought something special to the table.

A strong team is built on respect, inclusion, teamwork and having fun together and today we celebrated all of that. We are proud to be part of a team that lifts each other up and achieves great things together.

As a part of Reconciliation Week our Gems explored the importance of respecting Country, connecting with nature, and caring for the land and waterways around us. 🌿💛

Through meaningful conversations and hands-on learning, the children developed a deeper understanding of the natural world around them and learnt how we can all play a part in caring for our environment today and for future generations.

We are proud to support the children in building respect, empathy, and a lifelong connection to Country as well as helping them to strengthen their understanding of how people are connected to Country. 🖤💛❤️

This week at Jungle Gems, the children had an amazing visit from True Blue Reptiles Show 🦎🐍

We learnt so many interesting and silly facts about reptiles, including how snakes smell with their tongues and how turtles breath under water through their bottoms! The children were very brave and excited to gently touch a snake, a blue tongue lizard, and a bearded dragon.

We also had important discussions about snake awareness and learnt that we only touch pet snakes with a trusted adult present.

A hands-on learning experience full of curiosity, confidence, and FUN!

This week some of our Giraffes enjoyed a visit to the local Melody Park Retirement Village 💛

There were big smiles, warm conversations, and plenty of special moments shared between generations. The children enjoyed chatting, singing, and simply spending time together. It’s safe to say the residents loved every minute just as much as we did.

These visits are so meaningful for everyone involved, helping build confidence, kindness and connection in our little learners while brightening the day of our wonderful community friends 🦒✨
