Founded by 2 sisters and qualified teachers Samantha & Nicole whom together have raised the bar to a new standard of quality Childcare. Truly a family business this African safari themed centre boasts no less than 5 family members actively working here. The state of the art facility was completed in January 2019 and built by the girls father Peter. Their mother Gail heads the reception and Samantha’s husband Kale works in media and marketing. Jungle Gems is more than just a daycare centre, here your child will awaken their love of learning. Our philosophy is play based learning experiences where every child’s individual development is supported and nurtured in a safe and compassionate environment. We are an affordable boutique centre with flexible hours and expert educators. A common concern raised by families’ previous childcare experiences is that they feel their child has become “just another number”. Rest assured that at Jungle Gems every child’s individual development is supported and nurtured, ensuring all children grow at their own pace and through their own interests. Once a Jungle Gem, always a Jungle Gem!

School holidays brought a very special visit to Jungle Gems! 🥰 Two of our Jungle Gems graduates, now in Year 1 and Year 3, came back to read a story to their little sister’s class.

Watching our past graduates return and share their time, confidence and love of reading with our younger children was such a beautiful reminder of what community is all about.

It’s more than just a visit — it’s about belonging, relationships and staying connected long after children graduate from our centre.

Today, Jungle Gems transformed into a world of pirate adventures, treasure and plenty of “ARRR!” 🦜💰

From searching for treasure to dancing like a pirate, every corner of Jungle Gems was filled with imagination, excitement and little adventurers discovering where their journey might take them next. 🏝️⚓

❓️Did you know that all educators at Jungle Gems Early Learning Centre are First Aid qualified?

Even after a long and busy day caring for our gems, our team remains committed to keeping their knowledge and skills up to date. Yesterday, our educators took part in CPR training to refresh and strengthen these essential skills, ensuring we are confident and prepared to respond when it matters most.

A huge thank you to Josh from First Aid and Rescue for an engaging, practical and interactive learning experience! Your knowledge, energy and hands-on approach made the training both valuable and enjoyable.

💛 R U OK? Day at Jungle Gems 💛

Today, we joined in celebrating R U OK? Day by wearing yellow, learning new social and emotional skills, starting conversations and reminding each other that asking “Are you okay?” can make a real difference.

But at Jungle Gems, we believe this is more than just one day.

We pride ourselves on knowing our children, our educators and our families — not just knowing their names, but taking the time to understand who they are, what they enjoy, what matters to them and when something might not feel quite right.

We check in. We listen. We support. We make space for conversations, big or small. 💛

Because wellbeing isn't something we talk about once a year. It is something we nurture every day through connection, trust, kindness and genuine care for one another.

So while today is a wonderful reminder to ask “R U OK?”, our message at Jungle Gems is simple:

You don't need to wait for a special day to check in.
You don't need a reason to ask.
And you never have to face something alone. 💛

🌿🦒 Learning Beyond Our Centre! 🐘💚

Today, a group of our Giraffes' children had the wonderful opportunity to visit Melody Park Retirement Village for a special intergenerational excursion. 💛

At Jungle Gems, we believe that learning happens everywhere — and that our children are an important part of the wider community.

There is something truly beautiful about bringing generations together. The joy, stories, smiles and connections remind us that we all have something to share and something to learn from one another. 💕

A big thank you to the wonderful residents and team at Melody Park for welcoming our Jungle Gems family. We are so grateful to be part of such a caring and connected community. 🌿

What an incredible team-building day! 🎨✨

This weekend was all about working together, supporting one another, and making sure everyone felt included. Watching our team collaborate, encourage each other, and share plenty of laughs reminded us just how lucky we are to have such an amazing group of people.

We can confidently say that our team is full of hidden talents and creative artists! From impressive artistic skills to innovative ideas, everyone brought something special to the table.

A strong team is built on respect, inclusion, teamwork and having fun together and today we celebrated all of that. We are proud to be part of a team that lifts each other up and achieves great things together.
