I’m Christian Condon and I have been playing drums for 17 years! Teaching and playing drums is my number one passion. What I can teach you –
Genres of Rock, Country, Jazz, Punk, Heavy Metal, Pop, Traditional grip, or matched grip and many more! Where – I only teach from home, I have one acoustic drum kit and one electric drum kit in an air-conditioned room. I studied music at griffith university for 3 years and received a Bachelor Of Popular Music degree. During the course I learnt how to record various instruments in a professional music studio, and how the music industry works. I am willing to tutor ages from 7 years old onwards from beginner to advanced abilities. My experiences: I currently play in two local Brisbane and Gold coast rock bands. I have been fortunate enough to support Wolfmother on a national tour with my band Rhino. The other band is called Baltimore Gun Club, we have toured the east coast of Australia and the UK. Also won the 2018 people's choice award for the gold coast music awards, and have been nominated several times for video clip of the year. I am also a member of the Gold Coast Drumline, a traditional matching band. This has developed my traditional grip and also I help teach younger members of the Drumline to help prepare for various performances. Good pattern to practice this slow to get more precise. Start with your left hand doing singles and accent on the 1 on every 4. Then insert any kick pattern over the top. Think about every kick drum linking up with the high hat and try to make it as together as possible.
