This morning I was reflecting on people pleasing.

Tonight, one episode of Lioness and my brain has gone in a completely different direction... wars, governments, media, history, politics and all the things that shape the world we live in.

The more life I experience, the less interested I am in simply accepting the loudest opinion or the most popular narrative. Equally, I'm not interested in believing every alternative theory either.

I think we've lost the art of genuine curiosity.

Somewhere along the way, asking questions became mistaken for rejecting facts, when really, critical thinking should involve questioning everything... including our own beliefs.

I don't think we'll ever know the full story behind many of the biggest events in history.
But I do think staying curious, listening to different perspectives and being willing to challenge our own thinking is a far healthier place to live than blind certainty.

Has anyone else started watching Lioness?
Or is there another series that's made you stop and think about how the world really works?

I had a really interesting conversation with a friend recently where we were both reflecting on aspects of our personalities that we're becoming more aware of.

One topic that came up was people-pleasing.

The more I thought about it, the more I realised I don't see people-pleasing as simply being "easy-going" or "going with the flow."

To me, people-pleasing is when we avoid expressing our true thoughts, preferences or boundaries because conflict feels too uncomfortable.
We stay quiet, agree when we don't really agree, or slowly drift away from our own values just to keep the peace.

Sometimes that comes from growing up where conflict didn't feel safe.
Sometimes it's because we're afraid of disappointing others or being rejected.

But I've been wondering if avoiding conflict really creates peace... or if it simply delays honesty.

A Buddhist teaching says that suffering often comes from our attachment to avoiding discomfort.
Maybe growth isn't about never creating tension. Maybe it's about learning that we can stay kind, stay respectful, and still speak our truth.

✨ My reflection on this is where in life are you choosing temporary comfort over honest connection?

Loving these Mystic Forest Oracle Cards I received as a birthday gift from Chris & Erika Photography 💚🌿

This morning's message really resonated with me... belonging and finding your safe space.

I think we spend so much time looking for where we fit, when sometimes it's simply about finding the people, places and moments that allow us to relax and be ourselves 🫶

No pretending, no proving, just feeling at home 🏡

Wishing everyone a slow and peaceful Sunday. ✨

Support my 9km walk to prevent su***de and change lives. 25/07/2026

I saw this come up and thought, "Why not?" So I've signed up for the 9km walk on 10 September for World Su***de Prevention Day.

It feels like such a simple way to support something that affects so many people.
If it gets people talking, checking in on each other, or reminds someone they're not alone, then it's worth every step.

Wish me luck... and if you'd like to join me or support the cause, I'd love that. 💛

Support my 9km walk to prevent su***de and change lives. I'm walking in Out of the Shadows for Lifeline to ensure no one has to face their darkest moments alone.

Townsville didn’t give me a life lesson, but it definitely gave me a vibe check 😎
A change of backdrop and suddenly my thoughts started organising themselves like they finally got the memo 📝

I realised how much lighter I feel when I stop squeezing myself into things that don’t fit.
How much clearer life gets when I stop mistaking consistency for connection 📲
And how much softer I become when I let myself evolve instead of performing the same old version of me 🎭

Townsville didn’t transform me it just reminded me I’m allowed to choose what feels real, what feels nourishing, and what actually feels like me.
A little sun, a little stillness, and suddenly everything feels cleaner including my direction 🌞👌🌊

Some relationships don’t fall apart they just drift into a shape where one person feels the distance more than the other.

This morning’s sunrise made me realise how often we assume we’re on the same page, when really we’re living two different versions of the same story.

The Gemini New Moon feels like a reset.

Not a break.

Just a quiet shift into accepting what is, instead of holding onto what I wish it could be

Monday musings 💕

Whatever this viral situation is, it has absolutely humbled me 😷

Not quite flu. Not quite cold.

Just me, tissues, blocked sinuses and enough mucus production to moisturise the entire Gold Coast.

Thursday night and the sky decided to completely show off.

No filter, no edits could actually capture how unreal this looked in person.

The water glowing orange, the clouds looking painted… one of those moments that makes you stop whatever spiral you’re in and just stare. ✨

They said she couldn’t shoot 🏹

They were right… until the storyline got out of hand

Mish. Coming this summer (apparently) 😅🎥🤘
