COMMUNITY | 58 students. 18,130 hours together. One school.

The Chairman's Dinner is a special evening on the All Saints calendar. It recognises the Year 12 students who began with us in Pre Prep or Prep and have spent every year of their schooling here.

This year, 58 members of the Class of 2026 gathered with their families to celebrate that milestone, made even more meaningful in our 40th anniversary year.

Principal Mr Matt Corbett opened the evening with a trip back to 2013 and thanked families for their loyalty to our school over so many years.

In his address, Chair of School Council Mr John Fradgley OAM reminded the room that part of the credit for whatever these students go on to become belongs to "your parents and your teachers, who believed in you long before you probably even believed in yourselves."

Thank you to our student speakers for sharing their memories, to our staff for guiding this cohort through every stage of school, and to our families for being part of the All Saints story for the past 14 years 💙

COMMUNITY | The Ponytail Project 💙

30 of our senior students have chosen to rock the chop, donating ponytails of 20cm or more to be made into wigs for people experiencing hair loss.

The Ponytail Project began in 2015 with students at St Margaret's Anglican Girls' School, who believed that cutting off their ponytails was a small price to pay to support those impacted by cancer. It was brought to All Saints by one of our Year 11 students, and it sits alongside our support of the Leukaemia Foundation, the senior school Giveathon charity for 2026.

In their own words, hair is just hair, it grows back, and there are people who need it more. We are incredibly proud of the generosity and enthusiasm our students have shown and thank everyone who took part.

Last term, our Year 10 students swapped their usual timetable for Alternative Week, a week of hands-on experiences designed to build confidence, curiosity and real-world skills. ✨

Students explored how to turn their skills and interests into a small business with BOP Industries, and built practical money skills through Financial Independence Training. They heard from Kal Glanznig and Cooper Chapman in a Blue Minds Youth Ocean Leadership workshop on resilience and eco-anxiety, took on the Engineering Challenge, and worked with poet and educator Luka Lesson in English sessions. There was also plenty of teamwork in the Tchoukball tournaments, and Science on Country connected students with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge through fire-starting, water filtration and boomerang throwing.

Congratulations to All Saints alumna Professor Jessica Vanderlelie (Class of 1996).

Jessica is the first Griffith alumnus to lead the university, and the first All Saints alumnus to become a vice-chancellor!

Tomorrow’s AFL Grand Final will have All Saints connections on both sides of the field.

For the Brisbane Lions, alumni Will Ashcroft (Class of 2021, attended to Year 9) and Levi Ashcroft (Class of 2024, attended to Year 6) will take to the field on the game’s biggest stage, with proud parents Marcus and Bekky (Class of 1994) and sister Lucy (Class of 2027) cheering them on.

On the Fremantle side, fellow All Saints alumnus David Walls (Class of 1996, attended to Year 11) has played an important role behind the scenes, helping shape the Dockers’ playing list through his work in recruiting and player personnel.

It’s a pretty special moment to see members of the All Saints community making their mark on the game, both on and off the field.

GOOD HUMANS | Meet Zarah, one of our Good Humans of All Saints 💙

Zarah has qualified for the 2026–27 Shaw and Partners Iron Series, earning her place alongside some of the world’s best Ironwomen.

For Zarah, though, the achievement is only part of the story. As a House Captain, student and elite athlete, she brings the same commitment, leadership and determination to every part of school life.

An all-round good human, in and out of the water.

And there’s another special All Saints connection to the series this year, with alumni brothers Kai and Ryley Harland also qualifying.
