Plot twist: learning about tenancy rights was actually fun 🏠

Thanks to everyone who joined us at the Student Hub for International Tenants' Day. You got the lowdown on your rights and responsibilities, asked our tenancy expert from Tenants Queensland everything you'd been wondering, and then battled it out in trivia 🏆

Still have a rental question? Drop into the Hub every Tuesday between 12.30-4pm to chat with the QSTARS team. No appointment needed, see our times via our website 👉 https://expgc.au/3ZGEQe5

This could be you on stage 👀

Swipe through and take a good look - because every single one of these students started exactly where you are now. Studying hard, showing up, doing the work. The only difference? They put their hand up and got nominated (or had someone awesome nominate them).

The 2026 Gold Coast Student Excellence Awards are open for nominations right now and closing fast. So don't sit on this one - if you (or someone you know) has smashed it this year, get the nomination in.

Renting in Australia shouldn't feel like decoding a secret language 🏠

Whether you're already signed a lease, hunting for your next place, or just want to know what your landlord can and can't do, this one's for you. Join us at the Student Hub for International Tenants' Day: a one-hour workshop on your rights and responsibilities, then a live Q&A with a tenancy expert so you can ask everything you've been wondering.

Then it's trivia time. Grab up to three mates and take on the tenancy-themed challenge, because the winning team scores $30 gift cards each 🎁

Brazil came to Southport today 🇧🇷

A live samba dancer, a drummer bringing the energy and a room full of students getting amongst it over a free lunch - this is exactly the kind of afternoon the Hub does best.

If you missed out, don't stress - Social Lunch is a regular thing, and the next one's a Halloween edition on Friday 30 October. Bring your student ID and come hungry.

Turns out, celebrating your wins isn't about the trophy - it's about knowing your hard work on the Gold Coast didn't go unnoticed.

If you've smashed a goal, made an impact, or pushed yourself further than you thought you could this year, this is your sign to put your hand up.
