Some silly faces to brighten up your Monday morning 😄🤪

The children love playing in the playground, especially racing down our swirling yellow slide! This slide has brought so much happiness to the playground over the years. It has also provided endless opportunities for the children to learn turn taking as well as encouraging their friends and themselves to give something a go even if the first time it might be a little a scary. We often hear children giving each other support at the top of the slide “you can do it” “it’s so much fun” “I’ll help you” “watch me I’ll show you, it’s not scary”.

Embracing the inner child in all of us today! Sometimes we just need to let go, be playful, and remember that it's okay to see the world through a whimsical lens. Let's keep the magic alive and never lose that sense of wonder! 🌈💫

Our educators create learning environments in the classrooms to cater to the children’s interests as well as to help support their development. We have recently had a lot of children interested in monster trucks and cars and wanting to explore the science behind the movement and speed as they go up and down hills.

They have loved having this set up for the past few weeks on the table to freely explore.

We often have parents ask us about what meals we provide the children and how we make them because they love eating at kindy!

We asked some of the children what their favourite meals are kindy and why.

The top 3 foods/meals are:
Taquitos - "Taquitos are my favourite!" "I like them because they have meat and beans"

Apples - "They are crunchy" "I like apples because they have the skin on them and they make me strong" "I love apples, oh and peas"

Wraps - "I like vegemite on them" They have lots of things inside them" "they have cheese" "They have chicken on them"

Don’t know who said it but yes, there is definitely commitment.

We need to be in a good place to be good to our kids!

It all started here in 2022 with our Loft children talking about our oceans and plastic waste! Next month, their collection efforts will inspire others in Melbourne!

A small portion of their plastic lid collection efforts will be a part of The Story of Plastic Exhibition put together by the amazing team at United Make!
