Happy Faces Family Day Care

The children in our family Day Care setting absolutely love spending time outdoors playing , Here are some of our spaces , we dedicate a substantial amount of our time creating memories and loads of Fun!

To us, this experience may look messy—but to the children, it is a highly engaging, creative, and meaningful learning opportunity. This sensory play with shaving cream and food colouring continues to be a favourite, with children regularly requesting it and eagerly participating each time it is offered.

Throughout the experience, children explored colour mixing, using their hands to combine red, blue, and green, observing changes and experimenting with outcomes. This hands-on investigation supports early scientific thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving.

The play also encouraged independence and self-help skills. Children confidently moved between the play space and the washbasin, independently washing and drying their hands, showing an understanding of hygiene routines and responsibility for their bodies.

While it may appear chaotic, this type of open-ended play fosters creativity, imagination, and emotional expression. The addition of dinosaurs supported imaginative play, storytelling, and language development as children created their own scenarios within the sensory environment
