Gratitude Through Their Eyes 💙✨
What are you grateful for? 💭
As part of The Resilience Project, we’ve been exploring the G in GEM — Gratitude!
Our children spent some special one-on-one time with their educators, talking about the people, places and things they’re grateful for. Their beautiful answers were then written down and added to our Gratitude Jar display for everyone to see. 🫶
By encouraging these conversations from an early age, we’re helping children notice and appreciate the positives around them while building emotional awareness, connection and wellbeing.
Sometimes it’s the simplest answers that mean the most. 🥹💙
The Resilience Project
At our centre, we believe meaningful learning extends beyond our gates. 💚
Our fortnightly community walks are a valuable part of our philosophy, providing children with opportunities to build connections with the world around them. Whether we’re watching the trucks at work, visiting the Bond University pond, or simply greeting members of our local community, every experience encourages curiosity, belonging and a deeper understanding of the environment they are part of.
By creating real-world connections, we’re nurturing confident, capable learners who feel connected to their community, one adventure at a time. 🌿✨

Strong relationships are the foundation for confident, curious learners 💛
Goodstart’s key educator approach ensures every child is known, supported and feels safe - through consistent, nurturing connections with educators and meaningful partnerships with families. These bonds help build wellbeing, resilience and a true sense of belonging from day one.

Our Centre Philosophy in Action: Relationships That Matter. 🤍
Strong, trusting relationships are at the heart of everything we do. When children feel safe, valued and genuinely connected, every environment becomes a place where they can learn, grow and thrive.
Because sometimes your favourite place is simply wherever your favourite people are. ✨
At the heart of meaningful learning is one simple belief: children deserve to be heard. 💚
Children’s voices are incredibly powerful. Every interest they share, every song they request, every question they ask and every moment of excitement gives us valuable insight into what inspires them. By truly listening, we can create learning experiences that are meaningful, engaging and uniquely theirs.
Over the past few weeks, we noticed our toddlers’ growing love for nursery rhymes and our group mat sessions. Rather than letting those moments end with a song, we asked ourselves, “How can we bring this learning to life?”
Inspired by their enthusiasm for Incy Wincy Spider, we created this sensory experience to extend their learning beyond the mat. As the children sang, searched for spiders, explored different textures and immersed themselves in imaginative play, they were building language, strengthening fine motor skills, developing confidence and making meaningful connections between music and play.
When we listen deeply to children’s voices and follow their interests, learning becomes more than an activity, it becomes an experience where children feel heard, valued and reflected in all aspects of our practice. That is the power of truly child-led learning. 🕷️🩵
Monday mornings are about more than just babychinos, they’re about connection, belonging and giving children a voice. 🤍
Our walks to Blackboard Varsity Lakes has become one of our favourite traditions. From stopping to watch the construction trucks hard at work, to sharing babychinos, chatting about our weekends and planning what we’d love to learn this week, every moment is meaningful.
By listening to children’s ideas and interests, we create learning experiences that are genuinely shaped by them. Exploring our local community helps children develop confidence, build relationships, strengthen their sense of belonging, and see themselves as valued members of the world around them.
Sometimes the most powerful learning doesn’t happen inside four walls, it happens through everyday moments, shared conversations, and the wonderful community we’re so lucky to be part of. 🤍
Did you know we invested $65.5M into our social purpose last year, a 14% increase on the year before? 👏 At Goodstart, we're proud of the impact we have on children, families and communities. As a not‑for‑profit, every dollar we earn is reinvested to improve outcomes – from high‑quality learning and educator development to extra support for children who need it most.
Because when we put children first, the impact goes further 💛
