Through this slow and thoughtful play, children explore weight, flow, texture and imagination, building knowledge with their hands and shaping understanding through their own curiosity.

The Pre Kindy children are supporting the Church food helper program. They carefully restock the shelves and, through this real experience, begin to build understandings of generosity, responsibility and caring for our wider community.

Curiosity grows as they turn each page, noticing animals, wondering aloud and learning together through shared discoveries.

Christmas is arriving gently in our days. Moments of joy, kindness and togetherness filling the room as the children create, sing and imagine.

Bug exploration invites children to observe closely, ask questions and build early scientific thinking. It also encourages care and empathy as they learn to handle each small discovery with gentleness and respect.

Collaborative work is a central part of the Reggio Emilia approach. Children are seen as capable, social learners who build knowledge through relationships. When they create together they listen, negotiate and respond to one another, turning individual ideas into a shared language of colour, form and meaning.

In this moment the story is seen as much as it is heard. Auslan supports children to learn with their eyes, hands and hearts, reminding us that every child learns differently and every way of communicating matters.

Look at the children exploring art in a new and exciting way by painting a shirt. 🎨 Moving beyond paper opens up so many creative possibilities. It invites children to experiment with texture, flow and movement in ways that feel fresh and inspiring.

Using a shirt as the canvas allowed the children to see their ideas stretch across a new surface, turning a simple piece of fabric into a collaborative artwork. These experiences remind the children that their creativity is not limited to one space or one material. It can grow, change and take shape anywhere their hands and imagination lead them.

In his careful lines and tiny adjustments we see early theories taking shape. Order, pattern and meaning built through play with creatures he knows so well.

Loose parts invite children to think creatively, experiment and construct their own ideas. With open ended materials they explore possibilities, make choices and guide their own learning.
