Our babies had a wonderful time learning about the Japanese Summer Festival through songs, stories, craft, movement, and play. These engaging experiences supported their listening, observation, movement, and social skills while introducing them to a new culture in a fun and meaningful way.

We offer accessible, affordable, and high quality long day care to advocate for our children and to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
Our Senior Kindy and Kindergarten children had a wonderful time participating in the Kindy Science incursion. Through hands-on experiments and exploration, they developed curiosity, problem-solving skills and scientific thinking. The experience encouraged children to ask questions, make predictions and discover how science is part of our everyday world.
As part of Farm Safety Week, our Kindergarten and Senior Kindy children watched a farm safety video to learn how to stay safe around animals, machinery, and farm environments. They then worked together to design and construct their own farms using blocks, toy animals, rocks, and artificial grass. This hands-on learning experience encouraged creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and helped deepen their understanding of farm safety through imaginative play.
Our children enjoyed welcoming the Queensland Ambulance Service to our centre and learning how paramedics support the community. They were excited to explore the ambulance, ask questions, and see some of the equipment used to help people in need. Experiences like this help children understand the important role of community helpers.
“This is the best day ever!”Our Kindergarten and Senior Kindy children loved exploring oobleck (goop) through hands-on sensory play! As part of our science focus this month, they discovered that oobleck can act like a solid or a liquid depending on how it is handled. Through play, they practiced curiosity, problem-solving, scientific thinking, language, and fine motor skills. Learning has never been so messy—or so much fun!
Our Junior Kindy children spent time outdoors watering and caring for the garden plants. This experience helps them build responsibility, care for living things, and patience as they watch their plants grow. It also supports early science learning as they explore nature and observe change over time.
Our young learners had a wonderful time at the Recycle Man incursion, exploring the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. Through fun, hands-on experiences, they developed environmental awareness and learned how small actions can help care for our planet. These experiences encourage responsibility and inspire sustainable habits for the future.
Children across the centre, from Nursery through to Kindergarten, enjoyed participating in their Japanese lesson. Exposure to a second language supports communication, listening, and memory skills while fostering curiosity about different cultures. These engaging experiences help children develop confidence, respect for diversity, and a broader understanding of the world around them.

At Jacaranda Early Education, we have introduced a ‘no shoes’ policy for parents and visitors entering our nursery room. As our babies spend so much time crawling and exploring on the floor, this simple practice helps create a cleaner, healthier environment and supports their wellbeing.
