Kindergarten Graduation 2025 โ€“ Celebrating Our Kindy Stars ๐ŸŽ“

We are deeply grateful to have been part of your childโ€™s early learning journey and feel truly honoured that you have entrusted us with such an important stage of their development. The first five years are a remarkable time of growth, learning, and discovery, laying a strong foundation for the years ahead.

Our Kindy children proudly led the planning of their celebration, from designing and distributing invitations to organising the disco and cake. They also created a beautiful handmade table cloth decorated with flowers they crafted themselves and thoughtfully included a library corner to enjoy special reading time.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating our wonderful Kindy children. It was a joy to see families, friends, and educators come together, and to witness the childrenโ€™s pride as they shared in the activities, memories, and meaningful moments. We look forward to hearing all about their exciting new adventures as they begin school.

๐ŸŒบ Remembrance Day at Noble Nest Early Learning Centre ๐ŸŒบ

Today, our children across all rooms took part in meaningful activities to honour and remember the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.

Our reception was beautifully decorated with pictures of proud soldiers kindly shared by our families and staff. We are grateful to everyone who contributed, helping us all remember and appreciate those who have served and are still serving our nation.

Kindy children listened attentively to the story โ€œLest We Forgetโ€ and learned about the importance of Remembrance Day and the meaning of the poppy as a powerful symbol of remembrance. They also enjoyed creating their own poppies using various craft materials, showing wonderful creativity while practising their fine motor skills.

The toddlers gathered together to listen quietly to The Last Post, taking a moment to reflect. Afterwards, they made poppy cookies mixing, rolling, and decorating them with icing and chocolate buttons. The sweet aroma of freshly baked cookies filled the room, creating a warm and reflective atmosphere.

Our youngest nursery learners joined in by making poppy cookies too. They used flower-shaped cutters and red icing, finishing them with a chocolate button in the centre to look like a poppy flower. It was a fun and delicious way to mark this special day.

๐ŸŒบ Lest We Forget.

๐Ÿฆ†โœจ Our duckling table play got even more exciting with the addition of small ping pong balls!

The children explored how the balls rolled down the ramp, watching closely as they bounced and moved across the floor. Through observation and experimentation, the children used their scientific thinking to problem-solve โ€” discovering that placing a basket at the end of the ramp was the perfect way to catch the balls before they rolled away.

It was wonderful to see such creativity, curiosity, and teamwork in action as the children explored motion, cause and effect, and problem-solving through play. ๐Ÿ’ก๐ŸŽพ

๐ŸŒฟ Exploring Sensory Play in the Mud Kitchen! ๐Ÿ’ฆ

Our toddlers have been showing a big interest in sensory play, so we set up a variety of open-ended materials in our mud kitchen for them to explore and create in their own special ways. A water drum was added to the space, giving children the freedom to collect water and extend their play however they liked.

The children eagerly mixed dirt, flowers, and water to make their own โ€œpotionsโ€ and magical creations. Some worked together, sharing tools and ideas, while others focused on their own discoveries. ๐Ÿ’ง๐ŸŒธ

Through this hands-on experience, they built creativity, problem-solving, and fine motor skills as they scooped, poured, and stirred. They also explored early science concepts like cause and effect and how materials change when mixed. Most importantly, they had fun and gained confidence by making their own choices during play! ๐ŸŒผโœจ

๐ŸŽƒ Halloween Week Fun โ€“ Tuesday! ๐Ÿง™โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿ•ท๏ธ
Double, double, toil and trouble โ€” our little witches and wizards were busy brewing up spook-tacular potions today! ๐Ÿช„๐Ÿ’ซ
With bubbling cauldrons filled with bicarbonate of soda and vinegar, the toddlers excitedly mixed in โ€œrats,โ€ โ€œeyeballs,โ€ โ€œspiders,โ€ and โ€œcockroachesโ€ to create their very own magical (and a little bit yucky!) potions. The room was filled with giggles and wonder as the mixtures fizzed, popped, and foamed! ๐Ÿซง
This enchanting activity wasnโ€™t just fun โ€” it helped children:
โœจ Discover cause and effect through the fizzing reactions
๐Ÿ–๏ธ Strengthen fine motor skills by pouring and mixing
๐Ÿง  Spark imagination and creativity through pretend play
What a boo-tifully fun day of learning and laughter! ๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿงช๐Ÿ’œ

๐Ÿฅ’ Harvesting Fun in the Toddlers Garden! ๐ŸŒฟ

Today, our Toddler friends visited the garden and made an exciting discovery โ€” a cucumber ready to be harvested! ๐ŸŒฑ

Before picking, we made sure to give all our plants a big drink of water. Then, we carefully picked our cucumber, gave it a good wash, and got ready to slice it. Each child had a turn using our child-safe knife to cut the cucumber into pieces. The best part was tasting our freshly picked cucumber โ€” it was delicious! ๐Ÿ˜‹

Through this wonderful hands-on experience, the children are learning:
๐ŸŒฟ Where food comes from and how it grows.
๐Ÿ’ง How to care for living things by watering and nurturing plants.
๐Ÿ”ช Practical life skills such as washing, cutting, and sharing food safely.
๐Ÿ–๏ธ Fine motor skills and handโ€“eye coordination using real tools.
๐Ÿค Cooperation, turn-taking, and appreciation for healthy foods.

Weโ€™re so proud of our little gardeners and the joy they find in learning through nature! ๐ŸŒปโœจ

๐Ÿ•ธ๏ธ Cooking and Creativity in the Nursery Room! ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ

Today in the Nursery Room, we combined imagination and hands-on learning with both pretend and real cooking experiences!

The children had so much fun pouring, mixing, and creating their spooky Halloween spider webs, while also exploring sensory play by making their own special dishes with oats and dried pasta.
It was wonderful to see the children using the skills they learned during cooking to enhance their play and creativity. What a fun and engaging day of learning through play! ๐ŸŽƒโœจ

We hope everyone has a lovely afternoon! ๐Ÿ’›
