Congratulations to past student Connor H (Year 12, 2025) on his recent selection in the Australian Athletics U20 Team to compete at the World Athletics U20 Championships, being held in Eugene, Oregon, USA, in August.

Connor will pull on the green and gold to represent Australia in the Hammer Throw event, competing against the world’s best young throwers. Currently ranked in the top 10 in the world, this will be his first international competition, and the College wishes him all the very best.

Following the Championships, Connor will commence his studies at the University of Texas, USA, where he will combine his studies with training and competition in the NCAA Division 1 Athletics system.

Congratulations Connor on this outstanding achievement! 💙 💚

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our much-loved House Patron, Mr Richard Morris.

As one of the four founders of our College, Mr Morris brought invaluable experience shaped by his time in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he helped establish St Barnabas College. His strong commitment to education, justice, and community helped shape the values that underpin our College today, and he played a vital role in securing the land on which we now stand.

From the earliest days, Mr Morris served with generosity and dedication, contributing to the Steering Committee and later as Chairman of the Finance Committee during the College’s formative years. In later years, he remained connected to the College, a familiar and warmly welcomed presence at events, always showing a genuine interest in the life of the community he helped to build.

We give thanks for Mr Morris’s vision, faith, and unwavering commitment to our community, grateful that his legacy lives on through Morris House, inspiring future generations.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Morris family at this time.
