This week the children immersed themselves in the spirit of NAIDOC Week, exploring and celebrating the rich histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through meaningful, hands-on experiences.
In our Pre Prep room, children participated in a variety of hands-on experiences, as shown in the photos. They explored Indigenous-inspired art, engaged in storytelling and connected with natural materials, music and collaborative play. These experiences supported the children to build a deeper understanding and appreciation of Australia’s First Nations cultures, sparking curiosity, encouraging respectful conversations and strengthening their connection to Country, community and culture.
