Sand and water play for toddlers has many surprising benefits for development, such as enhancing motor skills, social and emotional awareness, improving language and speech, sparking creativity and improving concepts of mathematics and science.

Sand play is particularly beneficial for developing a sense of textures. Not only is sand a new and different texture for children to feel on their skin, but the contrast it creates with concrete, grass, dirt, and wood will emphasize the sensation of each surface.

Our local community authorities making sure all is well on our regular library visit.

Today we attended the Macintosh Island Puppet show, well done to the puppeteer’s on another successful show, I have been bringing my own children and FDC children here for over 20 years and it’s always a great morning out. All proceeds from ticket sales go to the Gold Coast Hospital Children’s ward to purchase life saving equipment.

We have been very busy little bee’s the last couple of weeks.
