Massive congratulations to 2023 Riewoldt Family AFL Excellence Scholar

The former star has just learned she’ll make her VFLW debut for the Tasmanian Devils this weekend.

Jemma helped the Bull Sharks to a 2023 premiership and excelled in her Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science degree before accepting the opportunity to take the exciting next footballing step back in her home state.

We couldn’t be prouder. Go well. 👏🏼

🏉A STATE OF ORIGIN STORY ON A STATE OF ORIGIN DAY 🏉

A while back Bond University Bachelor of Laws student Sebastian Sykes had to make a choice - Blue? Or Maroon?

It’s not an uncommon conundrum when you grow up in Mungindi – a border town in the Queensland Shire of Balonne that has a NSW post code.

While his mates looked south, Sebastian’s gaze was drawn north.

It’s a choice that has ultimately helped earn a spot in the Australian Universities Rugby League squad to tour Fiji later this year.

Some Bull Sharks action from their game against University of Queensland at The Canal on the weekend 🦈

UQ kicked the first goal, but Bond regained the lead halfway through the first quarter and were never headed thereafter. The Bull Sharks went on to win 4.8 (32) - 1.0 (6) 🤩

Our Bull Sharks AFLW squad will now enjoy the view from the top of the ladder with a healthy percentage and a five win, one loss ledger 🌅

Huge congratulations to our Bull Sharks who competed at last week’s UniSport Nationals Athletics 💙

A special shoutout to Isabella Simonelli for taking home silver in the hammer throw and bronze in the discus 🥈🥉, as well as Jayden Curtis for a strong 5th place finish in the 400m👏🏼
