Toogoolawa School is an independent school for boys aged 9-16 years. We like to think of it as "second chance education".

Our model is unique and has been designed to revolve around the five universal human values of truth, love, peace, right conduct and non-violence. Toogoolawa School is an alternative provider of education for boys aged 9-15 years who no longer attend or are no longer welcome in mainstream schooling.

Learning, laughing, and catching waves!

Our students had an incredible time learning to surf with an amazing team of skilled and supportive surfers. From mastering the basics to riding their first waves, every student showed courage, determination, and a willingness to step outside their comfort zone.

A huge thank you to the fantastic surf instructors whose patience, encouragement, and expertise made this experience both safe and unforgettable. Watching students build confidence, develop new skills, and enjoy the ocean was truly inspiring.

What a great day of adventure, teamwork, and personal growth. We can't wait to get back out on the water!

What an incredible day of energy, determination, and teamwork at our Athletics Day!

Students enthusiastically participated in a wide range of events, including high jump, long jump, shot put, vortex, frisbee, football, sprints, relays, and the always-exciting tug of war. Throughout the day, students demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, resilience, and a willingness to challenge themselves.

From impressive performances on the track and field to skillful play on the football field, students embraced every opportunity to do their best. The relays showcased fantastic teamwork, while the tug of war brought plenty of excitement and school spirit. It was wonderful to see students encouraging one another, celebrating achievements, and displaying positive attitudes throughout the day.

Athletics Day was not just about competition, it was about participation, perseverance, and having fun together as a school community. Every student who took part should be proud of their effort and enthusiasm.

A huge congratulations to all students for their commitment, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Thank you to our staff, volunteers, and supporters who helped make the day such a memorable success.

Well done, everyone! We are proud of your achievements and the positive spirit you brought to the day! 🌟👏🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️⚽🏅💪🤝

Students Making a Difference at Save a Horse

There’s something powerful about the connection between humans and animals—especially when healing is involved.

Recently, our students had the opportunity to volunteer with the Save a Horse program, where they spent time helping horses that have experienced trauma, neglect, or difficult past circumstances. Through patient interaction, gentle handling, and consistent companionship, students played an important role in helping these horses rebuild trust and confidence.

Volunteering in this program is about much more than caring for animals. It teaches empathy, responsibility, communication, and the value of showing up for those who need support. By socializing with the horses, students learn to read body language, remain calm under pressure, and develop meaningful connections built on patience and respect.

The experience was rewarding for both the students and the horses. As the horses became more comfortable and engaged, students gained firsthand insight into the impact of compassion and community service.

We are incredibly proud of our students for dedicating their time and energy to such a meaningful cause. Their kindness and commitment are helping create brighter futures—one horse at a time.
