After a super positive showing at our first Learner Drive Night for 2023 back in April, we are please to announce the next date during the next school holiday period on Wednesday July 5th.
We have 4 sessions available at 5pm/6pm/7pm and 8pm, with limited spots in each.
Learner Drive Nights are an incredible opportunity for young drivers (That’s right, you don’t have to exclusively be on your Ls) to meet, interact with and learn from Emergency Services Personnel, and to learn the fundamentals when it comes to your reactions when you see the flashing red & blues appear behind you on the road.
The night consists of a short ‘in-classroom’ chat about some safety aspects of the night and on-road driving, followed by heading out in your own car onto the Queensland Raceway Circuit, where you’ll have Emergency Vehicles interact with you, and also experience the process of being pulled over, and the safety involved in doing so.
Following this, you’ll be pulled into a simulated Roadside Breath Testing Station, and then you can proceed over to the Driver Safety Stand, where Russell White will run through some fantastic and useful information to benefit all drivers.
In April, we had the Queensland Ambulance Service and Queensland Fire & Emergency Services on location as well, both in the paddock to show young drivers around what they do, and through the vehicles, but also circulating on track during the event to provide experience from all manner of Emergency Vehicles.
Thanks to the support of QPS, QAS, QFES, TMR, Driver Safety and Supercheap Auto, these nights will continue to provide an interactive learning experience.

When booking, please ensure it is the LEARNER’S/DRIVER’S name that is booked in, not the supervising passenger.
Supervisors must hold an Open Driver’s license and be over the age of 25.

Take care on the roads home this afternoon.
It’s a nightmare run Southbound 😞 with and accident early this afternoon, the usual afternoon peak traffic and and people making their way to to Gold Coast for GC Race on this weekend Traffic is bumper to bumper back to Beenleigh and probably further back.
Allow for extra travel time tonight and all weekend.

Schools back today.
That means 40km School zone speeds apply between 7am and 9am and 2pm to 4pm around the schools.
With the amount of road works going on around the areas also be mindful of the 40km speed limits throughout these roadworks areas.
With School and roadworks bring the traffic congestion, leave early if need be, look up and see the signs and be a courteous driver well all have places to be.

Morning to everyone
Would like to share a post on behalf of a beautiful family.
If you are in the Upper Coomera area
today pop into Coles on Old Coach road and share some support.
For those of you who shop at Coles, you may of noticed the tokens up on the wall, or the cashiers asking if you would to purchase a $2 ticket for Hummingbird House. These tokens are to raise money to Support the only Childrens Hospice here in Queensland.
My daughter McKenzie who many know from either C&K kindy, Coomera Springs State School or just seen her in the community. This year she sadly passed on April 21St at Hummingbird House at age 14.
This year we had designed a token for the Coles campaign and we were selected. It was the last thing we made together just a few weeks before she passed.
This Sunday we are holding a BBQ at Coles Coomera City with cakes, lolly bags Sausages and raffles. We would love for everyone to stop by and support in memory of McKenzie, and help raise money to help Hummingbird House to keep providing services to other families like they did for ours.
* Have just had a lovely lady reach out with a voucher for the raffles. If you have a small business and would like to donate a voucher, we would love to be able to share the love and share your businesses.
