🌿 Exploring, Creating & Imagining at Elm Tree Early Learning Ormeau 🌿

What a beautiful day of learning and play!

Our children have been busy exploring hands-on experiences both indoors and outdoors – from creating their own dinosaur worlds with natural materials, to engaging in sensory water play and creative drawing with shapes and loose parts.

These experiences support:
✨ Imagination and storytelling
✨ Fine motor development
✨ Problem-solving and early
maths skills
✨ Social connections and
teamwork

We love seeing the children so engaged, curious and confident as they explore their environment and bring their ideas to life 💚

At Elm Tree, learning happens through play, discovery and meaningful experiences every single day.

📍 Come and see what makes our centre so special!

Our Easter event at Elm Tree was filled with laughter, joy and plenty of of wonderful moments from Easter hunts to shared smiles. It was a day to remember!!

Thank you to our families for joining our Easter parade and making it so special.

Chef Rachel made some yummy treats for the children for afternoon tea as well as for out families to enjoy.

From our family to yours, we hope you have a very Happy Easter 💛💚

Our Pre-Kindy children had the best time getting hands-on in the kitchen with Chef Rachel 👩‍🍳✨

Today we made delicious hot cross buns, exploring new skills like mixing, measuring, and rolling the dough.

The children were so engaged and excited to be part of the whole process—from start to finish!
This experience supported their confidence, independence, and teamwork, all while having so much fun (and enjoying the yummy smell of freshly baked buns! 🤍)

Thank you, Chef Rachel, for such a special and memorable cooking experience 🥐🌿

HARMONY DAY!!

Today we celebrated what makes our community so special – diversity, inclusion, and belonging 🧡
Our children explored different cultures through fun activities, meaningful conversations, and lots of orange to represent harmony. It was beautiful to see everyone coming together, embracing each other’s differences, and learning that everyone belongs.
At Elm Tree, we value creating a safe and inclusive environment where every child and family feels seen, heard, and celebrated 💫
