Time Management Tip #10

Take something with you!

Got an appointment somewhere and still need to get stuff done, take it with you. When planning out your days, plan what can be taken with you that can be done when you're waiting!

Time Management Tip #9

Extra Time

When planning out your tasks, allow extra time in case it takes longer than expected. This way you still meet your time frame, and if you don't need the extra time.....have a cuppa!

Time Management Tip #8

What is time management?

Time management is being aware of how much time you have and ensuring you use your time wisely. For example, knowing there are 24 hours in a day and dividing your day up to ensure you achieve your goals!

Time Management Tip #7

Know your goals!

By knowing your goals you can better map out the path to get you there, and eliminate distractions along the way.

Time Management Tip #6

Say No.

Saying no means you know what your limits are! This is a good thing! It means you prioritise what is important and know when you don't have the time to dedicate your energy to something new. To say no, give suggestions on someone else that could do it or alternative ways to achieve the same outcome.

Time Management Tip #5

Eliminate Distractions

I love technology, it's great at making our lives better and more fun! It can also generate distractions, sit down to start work on your budget and you get an email notification, figure it will only take a few minutes to look at it and before you know it the day has gone without you even starting that budget. So turn off the notification tones and set time aside for these distractions, and take control!

Time Management Tip #4

Delegate!

You've taken the time out to put together a to do list, planned out your day and prioritised your tasks....but you still have tasks to do but not enough time?

Delegate! This can be as simple as asking someone to help. Try carpooling to pick up the kids.

Time Management Tip #3

Prioritise!

So you've done up your to do list and worked out there's not enough time in the day! We recommend you prioritise! Assess your list and ask yourself:

Is it important? if in doubt....that can go to the bottom of your list.
Is it urgent? Sometimes everything is important but can wait for another day!

Hope this helps!

Time Management Tip #2

Plan your day!

In today's busy world, we can easily fall trap to just getting on with it all the time. This may cause you to over extend yourself and end up feeling like you are not getting anything done. Take a few minutes out at the start of the day to plan out what you are doing, allowing enough time between each task! Link it back to Time Management Tip #1.
