Life isn’t easy.

Unless you’re living under a rock, you’re going to experience hard things.

Trying to control your external environment so that everything is always ‘just right’ is exhausting and ultimately impossible.

And trying to create an inner environment where you feel permanently calm, peaceful and regulated… impossible too.

The goal isn’t to create a life without stress and live in a constant state of calm, it’s to develop the flexibility, resilience and capacity to meet whatever life brings and maybe even let it expand them.

If you’re ready to be lovingly challenged to make the changes that will help you:

🌺move through stress without becoming completely overwhelmed by it
🌻find your way back to yourself when life knocks you down
🌸feel more grounded and less swayed by external circumstances
🌷build a deeper sense of trust in yourself and your capacity to cope

I’d love to help.

I’m currently taking on new clients for somatic therapy, nervous system coaching and transformative counselling.

The most beautiful version of you is the most authentic version of you.

But when protective parts are running the show ~ people pleasing, shrinking, over achieving, perfectionism ~ it can be hard to ever feel fully like yourself.

Pretending to be someone you’re not, or hiding who you really are, has to be one of the most energy draining and soul destroying ways to move through life.

If you’re ready to let go of the patterns that are keeping you stuck, so you can live and love more fully and freely as your most authentic self, I’d love to help.

I’m a holistic counsellor and yoga teacher with over 13 years’ experience supporting women to come home to themselves, get unstuck and step into the life that’s calling them through somatic and talk therapy.

I’m currently accepting new clients in person on the Gold Coast and online anywhere in the world.

Visit the link in my bio to book a free intro call and see if we’re a good fit.

Sending love,
Naomi x

You are the love you’ve been searching for ❤️

There’s something really beautiful on the other side of facing your fear and letting go of what’s no longer working, making space for something new.

But letting go isn’t easy.

We stay in the relationship, the job, the identity, the patterns even when we know we’ve outgrown them, because the familiar feels safer than the unknown.

But you don’t have to have the whole path figured out. You just need to trust yourself enough to take the first step.

This is the work I love helping women with.

✨ Get unstuck and step into the life that’s calling you
✨ Stop people pleasing, put yourself back on your own priority list, and develop healthier boundaries
✨ Recognise self sabotaging and protective patterns and learn new ways of responding
✨ Break free from dysfunctional or codependent relationship patterns and navigate separation, divorce or breakups
✨ Heal old wounds and the impact of childhood experiences
✨ Reconnect with yourself, your values and what you actually want
✨ Navigate life’s transitions with more clarity, confidence and self trust
✨ Learn to show up more fully, authentically and freely

If you’re feeling stuck in some area of your life and know that something needs to change, I’d love to help you find your way forward 💛

Curious about meditation?

A group of us meet every Monday at 6am for Zazen (Zen meditation) on the beach out the front of Dune St, Tugun.

It’s free to join and no previous meditation experience is needed.

Come exactly as you are 🤍

And if you’re feeling brave bring your swimmers. We’ll dive into the ocean afterwards and watch the sunrise. 🌅

A little note: If you’re extremely dysregulated, meditation may not be the most supportive practice in that moment. Sometimes the nervous system needs movement, connection or grounding before stillness feels safe.

In metta,
Naomi 🙏🏻

Have you ever had the feeling, “There’s something wrong with me, but I don’t know why?”

I think this is one of the most painful core beliefs a person can have and the tragedy of it is that because it concerns not what we do, but who we are, it touches the very core of our identity. Importantly, it also manifests in our biology, as specific patterns of autonomic nervous system activation.

If you grew up in an environment where your emotions were constantly criticised, your needs dismissed, or love felt conditional, your nervous system learnt that being yourself wasn’t safe.

For example, maybe you were told you were too sensitive, too emotional, too much, or not enough…you might have even been punished for crying or expressing anger.

And when we depend on the people sending those messages, it’s often safer to believe ‘something is wrong with me’ rather than believing the people we love or rely on aren’t safe.

So we adapt by hiding parts of ourselves…we people please, shrink or strive for perfection to maintain connection.

The beautiful thing is, there is actually nothing to fix or change in order to heal, we just need to help our nervous system realise the danger has passed.

So everytime you’re accepted and able to stay in connection after expressing a need or setting a boundary, and every time you’re fully yourself and experience safety, your nervous system learns something new.

The question then becomes not, “What’s wrong with me?”

But rather, “What does my nervous system need to feel safe enough to be myself?”

Because underneath the fear and shame, there was never anything wrong with you.

If you’re ready to stop believing there’s something wrong with you and start teaching your nervous system that it’s finally safe to be yourself, I’d love to support you ~ I’m currently welcoming new clients for 1:1 counselling, somatic therapy and relational coaching. If this resonates, I’d love to connect. I work online and in person on the Gold Coast. You can book a free introductory call via the link in my bio.

There’s a hunger that many of you know all too well ~ one that comes from years of emotional deprivation.

Satisfying this hunger isn’t about sourcing nourishment externally, but finding a way to feed yourself. You don’t have to become completely independent or never need anyone again. You just need to learn how to give yourself the care, compassion, love and safety you’ve spent so long searching for in others.

From this place, you stop settling for breadcrumbs because you finally know what real nourishment feels like. You no longer abandon yourself just to keep a connection. Instead, you choose relationships that are reciprocal, safe, and deeply fulfilling that add to your already kick ass life 💃

If you’re ready to take responsibility for your healing and nourish the parts of you that have been starving for more, I’d love to support you.

I help women step out of the waiting room of their lives and into their power, purpose and freedom.

“Should I stay or should I leave?”

This is a question I hear often… and it can be an incredibly painful and lonely place to find yourself.

Many people spend months or even years trying to think their way to an answer, going back and forth between fear, hope, guilt, love, obligation and uncertainty.

What I’ve learned through my own journey, and through working with clients, is that this decision often becomes clearer when we stop trying to force it.

When our nervous system has been living in survival mode, it’s difficult to know what’s coming from fear, what’s coming from attachment, and what reflects our deeper truth.

In our work together, we don’t rush to find the answer…instead, we slow right down, become curious about the protective patterns your nervous system has developed, gently build more safety and capacity, and create space for clarity to emerge naturally.

Sometimes that clarity leads to leaving.

Sometimes it leads to staying and creating healthier patterns together.

Either way, the goal isn’t to push you towards a particular outcome. It’s to help you reconnect with yourself, so any decision you make comes from a place of greater awareness rather than survival.

If you’re feeling stuck in this question, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

I’m currently taking on new clients for 1:1 transformative counselling, somatic therapy and relational coaching online and in person on the Gold Coast.

I’d love to walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself, gently untangle the patterns keeping you stuck, and move towards a life that feels more aligned, alive and free.

Sending love, Naomi 🌻

Please note: These reflections don’t apply to relationships involving abuse or coercive control. If your safety is at risk, reaching out for support is the priority.

In case you needed the reminder…we’re floating on a rock through space, with sunrises and sunsets, trees, the ocean, coffee, laughter, music, hugs and people we love.

Life can be hard, but it can also be breathtakingly beautiful.

You’re alive, feel it ✨

For a long time, I thought if I could just understand myself enough, I could finally change.

Like a lot of you, I read the books, listened to the podcasts, sat on my meditation cushion daily and explored my psyche with therapists. I gathered insight after insight, but still found myself stuck.

What I’ve learned through my own journey and through supporting clients is that healing requires more than insight. We need connection, compassion, and experiences that allow our nervous system to learn something new.

That’s one of the reasons I’ve become so drawn to Hakomi, an experiential form of somatic psychotherapy that gently helps us move beyond understanding and into embodied healing.

I’ve shared some reflections on Hakomi, and why we can’t always think our way out of what our bodies learned to protect us from in my latest Substack (link in bio).

I’d love to hear your thoughts if it resonates.

Sending love, Naomi 🌻
