To celebrate International Day of the Girl, we shine the spotlight (and throwback) on the amazing Kay Cottee.
In 1987, and at age 30, Kay set out on her solo circumnavigation. 189 days and 32 minutes later, Kay completed her record breaking journey!
Kay’s courage continues to inspire countless young female sailors across the country and around the world! As yachtswoman and yachtsmen, we owe Kay a debt of gratitude for what she has done for the profile of sailing in Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️

Radar is a subject that does not get a lot of hands-on, practical application in South East Queensland. Conditions of restricted visibility are extremely rare, and relatively few boats are equipped with operational equipment.
