🎉 TCI at Gold Coast Chinatown Chinese New Year Celebration 🧧

TCI was honoured to be invited by the Gold Coast City Council to support the Chinese New Year celebration at Chinatown on the Gold Coast!

We proudly delivered five interactive cultural experiences for the community:

✨ “Fu” character brush writing

Our stall welcomed several thousand visitors throughout the day. Families, children, and community members enthusiastically participated, experiencing the joy and richness of Chinese New Year culture firsthand.

It was wonderful to see the vibrant atmosphere and the strong community spirit. Thank you to everyone who joined us — we look forward to celebrating together again next year! 🏮🐉

TCI was delighted to support Chinese New Year celebrations at Clayfield College by bringing fun and interactive cultural activities to students!

Students learned the traditional Chinese schoolyard game, diabolo (kongzhu), guided by our team, and enjoyed discovering the stories of the Chinese zodiac followed by hands-on woodblock printing.

It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm, creativity, and joy from both students and teachers as they celebrated cultural diversity together. 🧧🎉

TCI organized a series of Chinese New Year (CNY) celebration activities aimed at promoting multicultural learning in local schools. We visited Rochedale State School to introduce students to traditional Chinese cultural experiences in an engaging and interactive way.

Our activities included Chinese “Fu” character calligraphy writing, where students learned the meaning and symbolism of the character representing good fortune. We also introduced the origins and stories of the Chinese zodiac signs, followed by hands-on woodblock printing of the zodiac animals. In addition, students were excited to learn and play the traditional Chinese schoolyard game, the diabolo (also known as kongzhu).

Another highlight of the program was introducing the beloved Giant Panda, one of China’s most iconic national treasures. After learning about the panda’s habitat and cultural significance, students painted pandas on traditional fans and added their own creative decorations. The activity sparked great enthusiasm, and students showcased remarkable imagination and artistic creativity in their designs.

All activities were warmly received by both students and teachers, creating a vibrant and immersive multicultural learning atmosphere.
