Rhythm India School of Dance Rhythm India School of Dance celebrates the joy of Bharathanatyam, Bollywood, and Semi-Classical dance.

Based in Queensland, we create a welcoming space for all ages to build confidence, connection, and cultural pride through the art of dance. Vinitha Rajkumar is a classically trained dance instructor, having completed her training in Bharatanatyam in Southern India. However, she still enjoys learning more about this rich and impressive art form, while sharing her vast knowledge and expertise with others. Vinitha began Rhythm India Dance in Plymouth, UK, in 2006 and established a successful dance school for over 7 years; organising performances, events and collaborating with art houses such as The Barbican Theatre, Plymouth. After moving to Australia in 2014, Vinitha continues to spread the joy of classical Indian dance, as well as incorporating the well known global sensation of Bollywood into her repertoire, to create a fun, enjoyable and enriching environment.

One Theme, Many Expressions !

Explore Bharatanatyam through rhythm and abinaya, with Rhythm India’s creative touch and a deep respect for the tradition. New dancers and those with years of experience are equally welcome to enjoy something fresh.

Bring your friends along! Our Bharatanatyam workshop welcomes children aged 5+ and adults. Adults can stay for a fun Bollywood session with Hemanth - join both workshops for an evening of movement across two styles, and explore the possibilities in your own way.
