This event is designed for aspiring filmmakers and media students looking to explore the screen industry. From hands-on workshops in screenwriting and directing to industry presentations and creative storytelling sessions, this is your backstage pass into the world of film and television🙌🎞️

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming 2025 BUFTA Best International Filmmaker, Alexander Salomon from California to the Bond campus! 🏆

As the recipient of 2025 BUFTA Best International Filmmaker for his film ‘Sunrise Falling’, Alexander received a $3000 travel voucher, with an exciting itinerary to see the Gold Coast and Bond University! His itinerary involves some of the Gold Coast’s most iconic tourist spots, including beaches, HOTA (Home of the Arts) and Warner Bro’s Movie World theme park, as well as a campus tour, including our Film and TV Studios! This prize is in collaboration with Experience Gold Coast.

Introducing the 2025 BUFTA Best Overall Filmmaker, Evie Philp! 🌟

Evie was awarded Best Music Video for her music video ‘Take your pick’, as well as Best Experimental film and the Overall Best Filmmaker award for her film ‘FOLDED’, earning her a full scholarship to study Film and Television at Bond.

Evie’s strength as a film maker was immediately obvious when she excelled in two completely different categories, winning her Overall Best Filmmaker.
