🦎💚 Flower’s Holiday Adventure! 💚🦎

Our beloved bearded dragon Flower, has headed off on a special adventure with Miss Katie! 🌼✨

We’re happy to share that Flower has settled beautifully into her temporary home and is enjoying lots of care, comfort and relaxation while our kindy has its yard renovations🏡

We know our children will be excited to hear all about her adventures when they return and Flower can’t wait to be back at the service ready to greet everyone with her friendly face! 🦎💕🌿

❤️💛🖤 Through last week, our service proudly celebrated National Reconciliation Week, a time to reflect on our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

Throughout the week, the children engaged in meaningful experiences that fostered respect, understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Through stories, art, music, yarning and discussions, we encouraged curiosity, connection and a sense of belonging for all.

Together, we continue our journey of learning, listening, and walking alongside First Nations peoples as we work towards a more inclusive and respectful future. ❤️💛🖤

🦕🌿 Roaring into learning! 🌿🦕

As part of our Dinosaur Project, Some of our Kindergarten 2 children, families and educators enjoyed an exciting excursion to the Extinction Trail at Currumbin! 🦖✨

The children were captivated by the life-sized dinosaurs, sharing their ideas, asking questions and making meaningful connections to their learning back at the centre. Their curiosity, excitement and enthusiasm were on full display as they explored and discovered together! 💚

Experiences like these provide valuable opportunities for hands on learning while strengthening our connections with families and the wider community. Thank you to everyone who joined us on this dino-mite adventure! 🦕☀️

🐝🌼 Today we celebrated World Bee Day at our service! Our little learners explored the important role bees play in helping flowers grow, producing food and caring for our environment. Through fun activities, crafts and discussions, the children discovered how we can all help protect our busy little bee friends. 🐝💛

It was wonderful to see so much curiosity, creativity and excitement as we learned all about these amazing pollinators together! 🌸🍯

✨💡 Our Kindergarten 1 friends had a wonderful time exploring the light box last week using clear Duplo blocks! The children used their creativity and imagination to build colourful creations while observing how the light shined through the transparent blocks. 🌈🧱

This hands on experience encouraged problem-solving, fine motor development, spatial awareness and collaborative play as the children worked together to design and create. It was fantastic to see their curiosity and excitement as they experimented with colours, shapes and light! ✨😊

💦 Did you know? At Goodstart Early Learning Nerang Alexander Drive, our children enjoy weekly swimming lessons as part of their learning journey! 🏊‍♂️🌟

The biggest highlight? The huge smiles on the children’s faces as they build confidence, learn important water safety skills, and have so much fun in the pool! 😊💙

We love seeing our little learners grow in confidence while making wonderful memories each week.

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of hosting our Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea and what a beautiful afternoon it was! 💐☕️

We loved welcoming all of our wonderful mums, grandmothers and special loved ones into our service to celebrate the important role they play in the children’s lives each and every day. Throughout the afternoon, families enjoyed exploring a variety of fun and engaging activities together, creating special memories and sharing lots of smiles and laughter.

A huge congratulations to our wonderful educator Miss Grace on the arrival of her precious baby girl, Ruby! 👶🌸

Ruby was born on 06/05 weighing a healthy 3.60kg.

We are absolutely thrilled for Grace and her family as they begin this special new chapter together. We know Grace is already going to be the most caring, loving and nurturing mum — just as she is with all of the children at our service.
