🌸 Today, we embraced the beautiful spring-like weather with a nature-based learning experience outdoors.🌿

🍃The children explored a tray filled with flowers and leaves, using scissors to carefully cut the natural materials into smaller pieces for a creative project later in the day. ✂️

🦋 As they investigated the different textures, shapes and colours, the children developed their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration and confidence using tools. 💚

👀 LET’S LEARN BODY PARTS! 👀

💪🏼 Today, our babies explored a fun sensory experience where they searched through the sand to find hidden body parts! 🔎

😬 The children carefully discovered different body parts, including mouths, legs, arms and eyes, before placing them onto the body cut-out.😎

🧠 This experience supported the children’s developing understanding of their bodies while encouraging fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, sensory exploration and language development. 💕

🧼 HANDWASHING MATTERS! 🧼

Did you know that proper handwashing is one of the simplest ways to help prevent the spread of germs? 🫧🦠

Encouraging our little ones to wash their hands regularly helps build healthy habits and keeps our children, families and community healthy! 💙

🪴LET’S WATER THE PLANTS! 🪴

🌞Today, the children enjoyed helping to water our plants using the watering cans! 🌱💧

🍃This hands-on experience encouraged the children to develop their gross motor skills as they lifted, carried and tipped the watering cans to give our plants a drink. 🌿

🐛The children also had the opportunity to learn about caring for and nurturing living things while enjoying some fun in the fresh air! ☀️🪴💕

🎨Today, our nursery children enjoyed getting creative as they painted their very own cardboard flowers! 🖌️🌈
