✨ Today the babies enjoyed a sensory ice painting experience using blue-coloured ice, watching it melt and create beautiful patterns on the paper. 🌼

✨ NATURE SOUP ✨
🍃 Today our little explorers engaged in a beautiful sensory experience making “Nature Soup”! 🌷
🌼 The children eagerly explored a variety of natural treasures including flowers, leaves, sticks, and green-tinted water, using their hands to mix and stir their special creations. 🌸
🍁 They showed curiosity and excitement as they discovered different textures, from soft petals to crunchy leaves and smooth, wet materials. The children loved splashing the water, watching the natural items float and move, and observing the changing colours and patterns in their soup. 🍄✨

📚 LET’S EXPLORE BOOKS 📚
✨ The children demonstrated a growing interest in shared reading as they gathered together in the outdoor book nook, eagerly exploring a variety of picture books. 👀
🌸 This calm and inviting environment encouraged them to slow down, observe closely, and engage with the images on each page. Many children began pointing to familiar objects, naming what they could see, and vocalising their thoughts. 🤩
📖 The visual richness of the books supported the children’s learning, encouraging them to interpret images, recognise patterns, and make meaning from what they saw.🤎

🧸 WE’RE GOING ON A BEAR HUNT 🧸
🤎 Today the babies enjoyed an interactive ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ sensory experience inspired by the much-loved story. ✨
🌿 The children explored a variety of textures including bubble wrap, artificial grass, soft carpet, and sensory tiles, using their hands, feet, and bodies to investigate the different surfaces.🌼
🐻 As they followed the bear hunt adventure, they crawled through tunnels and explored the A-frame, supporting their sensory awareness, gross motor development, balance, coordination, and confidence. 💛

🩷 EXPLORING THE COLOUR PINK 🩷
🌸 Today our nursery children explored the colour pink through a fun and engaging playdough experience.✨
🌺Miss Nelly provided a variety of pink resources for the children to manipulate and create with, encouraging colour recognition, imagination, and exploration.🦩
💗As they squished, rolled, and moulded the playdough, children developed their fine motor skills, creativity, and confidence in sharing their ideas and creations with others.🌷

🪶 FEATHER PAINTING 🪶
🎨 Our curious little learners in the Nursery Studio enjoyed a sensory-rich feather painting experience! ✨
🌈 Using colourful feathers dipped in paint, the children explored different colours, textures, and patterns as they created beautiful artworks. 💚
🫶🏼 They glided their little hands through the paint, felt the texture of the soft feathers. They experimented with different movements to see the marks they could make on the paper.🌼
🌞 Through touch, movement, and visual exploration, the children developed an understanding of cause and effect as they discovered how their actions created unique prints and patterns. This engaging experience also supported sensory development, creativity, and fine motor skills while encouraging curiosity and exploration. 🥰

🩷 LET’S MAKE A POTION 🩷
🧪 Today, our Junior Toddler children enjoyed a magical potion-making experience! ✨
🧫Using a variety of natural and creative materials such as glitter, leaves, feathers, and water, the children explored, experimented, and created their very own unique potions. 🌸
✨Through scooping, pouring, stirring, and sprinkling, the children developed their fine motor skills, creativity, and imagination while having lots of fun. 💛
🍄It was wonderful to watch their excitement as they mixed their ingredients and proudly shared their magical creations with their friends and educators. 🥰

❤️RECONCILIATION WEEK❤️
🍃This week, we continued to honour and celebrate National Reconciliation Week, providing meaningful opportunities for children to learn about and appreciate First Nations cultures and histories.🪃
🌏The children explored how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples use symbols to communicate stories, journeys, connections, and important knowledge. They were fascinated by the idea that pictures and patterns can carry deep meaning and tell stories without words.✨
💛Throughout the week, the children engaged in a variety of experiences inspired by Aboriginal art and culture. They drew symbols in the sand and with paint, created the Aboriginal Flag, used marbles to recreate traditional symbols and patterns, and explored different ways of expressing ideas through visual storytelling.🖤
🌿These experiences encouraged creativity, cultural awareness, and respectful discussions about the rich traditions and knowledge of Australia’s First Nations peoples.🍄

🐥 3 LITTLE DUCKS 🐥
💛 Today, the Nursery children engaged in a fun and engaging sensory experience inspired by 3 Little Ducks. ✨
🌿 During the experience, the children eagerly splashed their hands in the water as they reached, grabbed, and tried to catch the little ducks floating around. Their excitement and curiosity were evident as they explored the movement of the water and watched the ducks bob and drift.🍄
🖐️ This hands-on sensory play supported the children’s fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, and early problem-solving skills as they practised reaching and grasping. The calming water play also encouraged exploration through touch, helping the children build confidence and engage their senses in a meaningful way.💐
