Tonk Lures were first made in the mid 1990's by Rob Dunn, primarily targeting native fish species. The original lures were moulded in urethane with microspheres used for buoyancy. For a number of years they were not made, until Ted Sartori from Esoteric Lures made some hand carved timber versions in limited numbers.
