During Term Three, our Year 12 students created a special legacy piece that will be treasured by our school community for years to come. The artwork features beautiful thumbprint flowers created by our Senior cohort alongside thumbprint grass contributed by our Year 1 students.
The project was inspired by the senior’s quote for the year:
"You don't have to see the whole staircase to take the first step."
This powerful message reflects the journey our graduating students have taken throughout their schooling and serves as an encouraging reminder for the younger students who will follow in their footsteps.
More than just a piece of artwork, this legacy project symbolises the meaningful connections being formed between our oldest and youngest learners. Throughout the year, our Year 1 students have embraced opportunities to build relationships with the Senior cohort, including presenting their formal invitations. Next term, they will continue this tradition of connection by farewelling our Year 12 students with a gift and song as they prepare to embark on their next adventure.
The finished artwork stands as a colourful reminder of community, growth and belonging. It celebrates the impact our graduating students have had on the College while leaving a lasting memory for future generations of students to enjoy.✨🤝
