You’ll study the knowledge behind your work, from skin anatomy, pigment and colour theory to consultation, infection control and treatment planning. You’ll practise brows, lips and eyeliner, develop your technique, and learn to assess your own results with the support of an experienced trainer.

This week, I had the privilege of attending Kingston State College’s Partner Networking Event and the official opening of Kubill Hair & Beauty—and my goodness, what a treat it was!

The positive impact this school is making, the pathways it is creating, and the opportunities it is providing for its students are truly incredible. I am in awe of the school’s community spirit, commitment to education, and genuine investment in the futures of its students.

Thank you for inviting me to share in this beautiful milestone, alongside Councillor Teresa Lane, Jim Chalmers MP and Cameron Dick MP.

And to my beautiful friend Tish—this is a monumental achievement for you, the school and the wider community. Seeing your vision, dedication and hard work come to life was incredibly inspiring. You should be so proud of what you have created. 💙

A little look inside today’s SHB50321 Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing class ✨

Besse and Kiana worked autonomously on brows and lips, confidently applying the knowledge and practical skills they have developed throughout their training.

It is so rewarding to watch our students grow—not only in their technical ability, but also in their confidence, decision-making and individual artistry.

Yesterday was the last day of our Ultimate Brows course, and what a wonderful day it was 🩷

This beautiful result was created by Jordy on her second model, Jude. Watching Jordy apply the knowledge, techniques and skills she has developed throughout the course was incredibly rewarding.

Her first model was her mum, which made the experience even more meaningful. We always love seeing the support networks that stand behind our students. Having family and friends cheering them on throughout their training journey is something truly special.

Our second model, Jude, was also a familiar face. She originally visited our academy as a model back in 2023 and returned again to support another aspiring cosmetic tattoo artist. We are so grateful for the amazing community that continues to support our students as they build their confidence and practical experience.

A huge congratulations to Jordy on her beautiful work and dedication throughout the course. We can’t wait to see where your cosmetic tattoo journey takes you next.

In this lip tattoo demonstration, Carlye invited a student to replace one of her support fingers so they could feel the tension, vibration and movement involved during shading.

This kind of hands-on learning helps students connect what they see with what they feel — building a deeper understanding of technique, control and client care.

Today was Ombré Brow prac day in our ULTIMATE Brow Techniques training, and we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Jordyn into the academy.

Jordyn had previously completed cosmetic tattoo training with another provider in a very full class setting. Unfortunately, she left that experience not feeling confident, with gaps in her knowledge, skill development and practical exposure.

So seeing her return to cosmetic tattooing today was really special.

Cosmetic tattooing takes time, guidance, patience and practice. Students deserve a supportive learning environment where they can ask questions, receive feedback and build their skills step by step.

Today, Jordyn showed focus, care and a natural eye for detail. Watching her confidence grow through guided practical training was such a privilege.

This is why student-centred learning matters.
