Yesterday was the last day of our Ultimate Brows course, and what a wonderful day it was 🩷

This beautiful result was created by Jordy on her second model, Jude. Watching Jordy apply the knowledge, techniques and skills she has developed throughout the course was incredibly rewarding.

Her first model was her mum, which made the experience even more meaningful. We always love seeing the support networks that stand behind our students. Having family and friends cheering them on throughout their training journey is something truly special.

Our second model, Jude, was also a familiar face. She originally visited our academy as a model back in 2023 and returned again to support another aspiring cosmetic tattoo artist. We are so grateful for the amazing community that continues to support our students as they build their confidence and practical experience.

In this lip tattoo demonstration, Carlye invited a student to replace one of her support fingers so they could feel the tension, vibration and movement involved during shading.

This kind of hands-on learning helps students connect what they see with what they feel — building a deeper understanding of technique, control and client care.

Today was Ombré Brow prac day in our ULTIMATE Brow Techniques training, and we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Jordyn into the academy.

Jordyn had previously completed cosmetic tattoo training with another provider in a very full class setting. Unfortunately, she left that experience not feeling confident, with gaps in her knowledge, skill development and practical exposure.

So seeing her return to cosmetic tattooing today was really special.

Cosmetic tattooing takes time, guidance, patience and practice. Students deserve a supportive learning environment where they can ask questions, receive feedback and build their skills step by step.

Today, Jordyn showed focus, care and a natural eye for detail. Watching her confidence grow through guided practical training was such a privilege.

This is why student-centred learning matters.

Not every student comes to training with the same background. Some are brand new. Some are returning after a difficult first experience. Some are beauty professionals wanting to upskill. And some simply need a calmer, more supportive space to build their skills properly.

𝑫𝒆𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏’𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆. 𝑰𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒍.

Creating a soft shadow line can be a beautiful way to give the brow more definition without making the result look heavy or overworked.

The purpose is to gently support the lower structure of the brow, helping to create a cleaner edge, more lift, and better shape clarity while still allowing the hair strokes to remain the feature.

For this technique, control is everything.

Use a slow machine speed, a slow hand movement, and keep the needle tip barely touching the skin. The goal is not to saturate heavily, but to softly build a veil of pigment through the lower brow line.

𝑨 𝒇𝒆𝒘 𝒌𝒆𝒚 𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒔:

💫Keep your pressure light and consistent
💫Work in small sections
💫 Check your progress regularly
💫Avoid digging or overworking the skin
💫Watch the skin response closely
💫Build gradually rather than trying to create definition in one pass

When done correctly, the shadow line should support the brow design, not overpower it. It adds structure while still keeping the result soft, balanced, and natural.

This technique isn’t suitable for every brow… so it’s crucial to know when to it appropriately
