Dear parents and caregivers, welcome to Term 3. During online learning some parents realised that their children were struggling in areas they weren't aware of and decided that their child needed extra support with their learning. I was able to offer this support during that time and am continuing to do so. If you feel that your child has gaps in their learning, please message me as I would love to support your child in their learning journey and help them reach their potential.

Dear parents and caregivers, during this unprecedented time of uncertainty and change it may be difficult, but it is of great benefit and importance to keep our children learning and moving forward with their education. I have decided to take my business online and I am offering teaching/tutoring sessions to support children learning at home. I know that it can be overwhelming for parents and caregivers who want to assist their children but they may not feel confident doing this. I am very happy to teach students concepts you're not comfortable with like Phonics, as well as just giving parents and caregivers advice and ideas to support their new role. My heart is to help you all and use the knowledge I have to be a blessing during this time. Please message me if you would like my help with online learning.

SPELLING READING WRITING MATHEMATICS How is your child progressing with each of these? Where does your child sit within grade expectations? Have you asked the teacher if your child is at grade level or below? How is your child's confidence?

If you are unsure about any of your answers and would like to give your child a boost by providing one on one individual instruction please message me. I am happy to assess your child and work with their class teacher to support their classroom learning. I can do long term tutoring to fill in gaps that have occurred during previous years or short term to help your child regain confidence and proficiency in certain concepts.

Good morning, I hope that your children are settled into their new grades. The students I have spoken to have been excited to be back at school and ready for learning. Your child may not be on the same reading level they finished on last year. This will either be a higher level perhaps because they read during the holidays and retained their knowledge or it could be a lower level perhaps because they did not read and have forgotten some of what they learnt over the holidays. Whichever scenario, keep encouraging and reading every night. Practise sight words and whatever phonics or spelling homework they have as this will assist reading. Ask lots of higher order questions and have your child retell the story to demonstrate their understanding.

If your child is experiencing any difficulties or you are concerned about their progress and feel that they need extra support, please message me as I would love to meet your child and see how I can support them to achieve to their potential.

I hope that everyone has had a very blessed and happy holiday. How happy were you with your child's report from last year? Did their results reflect competent understanding of all areas in English and Mathematics? Do you feel that your child could be achieving better and do you believe that your child would benefit from some extra support and tutoring in a specific area?
If your child is entering high school, are you happy with their spelling proficiency and confident that their teachers' first impressions of their essays and assignments will be positive due to initial reading of correct spelling?

I am having a 3 week holiday and will be back tutoring from 7th January. If you would like your child to have a boost before they begin their next grade, I am happy to do that for the short term.
