🚨 SATURDAY’s at FTA 🚨

Saturday mornings are a day to put in some work…

7am - HOOPS & HOPS - a 1hr session split into 30min of Speed, Agility and Conditioning with 30min of contested finishing and 1v1 work.

8am onwards - INDIVIDUALS - 45min blocks with Coach Cassie to work on your specific individual areas of improvement (these are popular and go fast!)

9am - PICK UP GAMES - 1.5hrs of full court space to scrimmage and play live game. These are our best value at only $10 for the full 1.5hrs. DISCOUNT AVAILABLE: PICKUP50 for 50% off!

All morning - CASUAL SHOOTING AND SHOOTING MACHINE HIRE - depending on bookings, these are available all morning

Afternoons - set times for touring team trainings, but on the other court, SHOOTING MACHINE HIRE and CASUAL SHOOTING can we booked on the other court (subject to week to week availability)

Multicultural Basketball Tournament will run once again as the FTA 3x3 Multicultural Tournament

This year is no different, with the same vision - culture, connection and some 3x3 competition!

• What is different? You can have a “import” in your cultural team.
• What does this mean? We encourage you to play with your mob, but allow one of the 4 players to be non-cultural in your group

What do we want to see? Bring/provide a cultural experience to our Opening Ceremonies! This allows everyone to see the amazing array of cultures - dance, food and questions/conversations is how we can connect and learn!

Date: Friday 4th September (Student Free Day)
Location: Hibiscus Stadium
Cost: $100 per team

We preach this in every program from on court group sessions to Elite Mentoring Program.

For every paid session, you should then repeat it 2-3 times on your own. Repetition, habits, consistency, results….

We are looking for a coach or supporter to join us on tour to Mebourne (expenses covered) who also holds a minimum LR License!

Cassie has an exciting opportunity at the back end of the Melbourne tour (will be announced soon) and as a result, cannot do the return trip after completion of competition

For the last 2.5 days, Cassie has attended the Basketball Australia Coaches Conference.

This is an annual event with a heap of content - on the court tactical drills and game play, plus key note speakers for each covering a variety of topics relevant to the modern game and how it should be coached.

These are also networking opportunities to meet, connect and continue to grow and develop relationships and learn new aspects of the game.

This is the 3rd one Cassie has attended and it allows the FTA athletes to continue growing with the game and at the level and style of the most elite athletes in Australia.

Cassie was attending this on behalf of Basketball QLD and the Women’s and Indigenous Pathways. Thank you for the opportunity!
