This week we learned about Remembrance Day, a special day in Australia, and many other countries. This day helps us remember and honour the brave soldiers who served and lost their lives to protect our country and keep us safe 🇦🇺.
It is very important for our little learners to celebrate this day to help them understand the values of respect, gratitude, and peace. We also reflect on the sacrifices made to create a better future for all.
To commemorate Remembrance Day, we made our own poppies, which are an important symbol for this occasion. Poppies are used because they were the first flowers to grow on the battlefields after the First World War. The bright red colour reminds everyone of the sacrifices made by those who served ❤️
