Ingleside State School Ingleside State School can be found 15 minutes from Burleigh Heads in Tallebudgera Valley. We have been providing quality education since 1892.

Ingleside State School was established in 1892 in the Tallebudgera Valley hinterland on the Gold Coast. The school services the immediate community of Tallebudgera and its adjoining suburbs. Ingleside State School aims to provide a well-resourced and caring learning environment that encourages the development and enhancement of the academic and social skills of its students. The current enrolment is 89 children. The classes being Prep/1, Year 2, Year 3/4 and Year 5/6. Please feel free to drop in and visit our beautiful school.

Ingleside Prep Discovery Sessions 🎒🧸

In August, Mrs Price and Ms Millie visited a number of local kindergartens to run our Prep Discovery Sessions. These are fun, relaxed introductions to school for our future Preppies! Mrs Price introduced herself, chatted with the children about Ingleside State School, and shared all the exciting things they can look forward to as they begin their school journey.

Our teddy bear "students" showed off the Ingleside uniform and lunch box, and every child went home with their own Ingleside colouring book.

Free Fruit Morning 🍎🍌🍐

In August, our students started the day with a healthy treat when Laura Ge**er MP, State Member for Currumbin, visited Ingleside for a Free Fruit Morning. Students loved choosing from baskets of pears, bananas, mandarins and apples on their way into school. We saw lots of big smiles and happy crunching!

Ingleside Open Day 🏫💙

On Saturday, 22 August, we opened our gates to families considering Ingleside for Prep and enrolment in 2027, and what a lovely day it was!

Our wonderful Student Ambassadors did an amazing job showing families around our school and sharing what makes Ingleside so special. We are so proud of you!

A huge thank you to our school community families who helped prepare the school in the lead-up and who ran our sausage sizzle on the day. We are so lucky to have such a generous, caring school community, and we truly appreciate everything you do. 💙

Thank you, Currumbin RSL! 💙

In May, our Principal, Mrs Aleesha Price, attended the Currumbin RSL Community Grants Program awards night, where Ingleside State School was proudly awarded a $1,000 grant in Round 1 of the 2026 program.

This generous grant helped fund Bravehearts' Ditto's Keep Safe Adventure for our students, as well as part of The Resilience Project program, supporting student wellbeing across our school.

We are so thankful to Currumbin RSL for their generosity and for the wonderful support they continue to give local schools and community initiatives. Your commitment to our community makes a real difference for our students and families. 💙

What an incredible experience for our Year 6 students last week, visiting Parliament House! 🏛️ A big thank you to Laura Ge**er MP for welcoming us and showing our students how our state parliament works. Vietnam Veterans Day

On Tuesday, 18 August, our school was honoured to be invited by the Currumbin Palm Beach RSL Sub Branch to attend the Vietnam Veterans Day commemorative service at the Currumbin RSL Cenotaph.

Two of our students laid a wreath on behalf of Ingleside State School. It was a meaningful opportunity for them to learn about the service and sacrifice of those who served in Vietnam, and to pay their respects to our veterans and their families.

Thank you to the Currumbin Palm Beach RSL Sub Branch for including our school in this special service.

Ditto's Keep Safe Adventure
Earlier this year, our students took part in Bravehearts' Ditto's Keep Safe Adventure, a fun and engaging personal safety program designed especially for young children.

Along the way, students learnt Ditto's 3 Rules for Keeping Safe:
1️⃣ We all have the right to feel safe with people.
2️⃣ It's OK to say NO if you feel unsafe or unsure.
3️⃣ Nothing is so yucky that you can't tell someone about it.

📚🌿 Thinking about Ingleside State School for your family? Come and meet us tomorrow!

We’d love to welcome prospective students and families to our Open Afternoon tomorrow, Saturday 22 August, from 2:00–4:00 pm.

Come along, enjoy a BBQ, explore our beautiful school and have a chat with some of our Year 5 and 6 students, our Principal and members of our wonderful P&C community about what makes Ingleside such a special place to learn and belong.

It’s a relaxed opportunity to see our school, ask questions and hear directly from the students and families who know Ingleside best.

Year 5/6 Camp – Day 2🏹

Our Year 5/6 campers certainly made the most of every minute today... some of the boys were up and at 'em well before the sun even considered rising!

We kicked things off with the crate stack challenge, where teamwork, trust and communication were the key to reaching new heights. Rumour has it that Jules set the Ingleside record two years ago by reaching an incredible 15 crates high, and our students were determined to rewrite the history books. Alice came the closest, balancing an impressive 12.5 crates in the air (yes, half levels count when you're standing on two crates at a time!).

Next came billy cart building, and our competitive streak was well and truly alive. The camp instructor told us the fastest team she'd ever seen build a billy cart had done it in 18 minutes. Not to be outdone, our Four Amigoes smashed that record by a remarkable six minutes, assembling theirs in just 12 minutes! They carried that same speed onto the track too, resulting in a few enthusiastic bumps, trips and plenty of laughter along the way.

After dismantling the billy carts, we refuelled with hamburgers for lunch before heading to archery. Some very promising Robin Hoods emerged, while others discovered that the colourful leaves scattered around the grounds were equally fascinating!

A special mention must go to Billy the Goat, who is quickly becoming the unofficial Ingleside State School camp mascot. Billy has enjoyed an ever-changing wardrobe thanks to the generous donation of several sacrificed socks, happily hitched a ride in the billy carts, and has made himself right at home by joining us at mealtimes.

It's shower time now as we freshen up before dinner and a well-earned movie night. See you tomorrow, mums and dads! 👋

Year 5/6 Camp is officially underway at Camp Goodenough!

Today was all about settling in, exploring the campsite and getting familiar with camp life. We are sharing the camp with another school, and our students were first up as duty group, helping to serve lunch to the entire camp. Camp tradition requires servers to introduce each item of food using descriptive adjectives. Particular credit must go to our Year 5 boys, whose vivid and detailed description of the water as "wet water" left quite an impression on the dining hall.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the Giant Swing. Students challenged themselves to be hauled 12 metres into the air before swinging out over an 18 metre drop. A deal was struck that if every student gave it a go, Miss Straw and Mrs Price would have to take their turn as well. Much to the delight of the students (and perhaps less so for the adults), every single student accepted the challenge. Some needed encouragement, one pushed through tears, but every student showed courage and determination. True to our word, the teachers followed through and took the plunge as well!

Free time was spent making new friends, playing table tennis and enjoying all that camp has to offer before sitting down to a delicious lasagne dinner. The evening wrapped up with a fiercely contested trivia competition, won (by one point) by the Four Amigos, followed by a dance competition that had everyone on their feet.

Lights are now out, the camp is (supposed to be) quiet, and there is plenty of excitement building for tomorrow's adventures!
