🌟 Celebrating our QRS Achievements! 🌟

Today we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating some wonderful achievements within our Kindergarten teams!

A huge congratulations to Miss Wendy in our Kindergarten 1 room for achieving On Target in the Quality Rating Scales (QRS). This is such a wonderful achievement and recognition of the quality teaching, interactions and learning experiences happening within the Kindergarten 1 environment.

We are also incredibly proud of Miss Kaylah and Miss Sammy in Kindergarten 2, who achieved Stretch in the Quality Rating Scales (QRS) and received a very special Gold Certificate of Achievement!

Achieving Stretch is an incredible accomplishment and reflects the high.quality teaching and learning practices taking place within their Kindergarten environment.

These achievements are a beautiful recognition of the dedication, intentional teaching, reflection and hard work our educators put into creating meaningful learning experiences for our children every day.

Congratulations Wendy, Kaylah and Sammy! We are so proud of you and this very well.deserved achievement!

Exploring Daffodils in Playdough 🌼

Today the children enjoyed a beautiful hands on playdough experience inspired by Daffodil Day.

Using yellow playdough, flower pictures and a variety of tools, the children were able to squish, roll, press and create their own daffodils. This simple experience supported fine motor development, creativity, hand-eye coordination and imaginative play while also introducing the children to Daffodil Day.

Such a lovely little learning experience!

It might look like "just play", but every experience at Goodstart has a purpose.

Whether children are painting with natural materials, exploring a sensory tray, listening to stories or playing in the sandpit, they're developing skills that support their learning well beyond the early years.

These everyday experiences help build creativity, emotional expression, communication, fine motor skills and cultural understanding - all while encouraging children to learn through curiosity and play.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day in our Toddler 1 room.

Today our Toddler 1 children celebrated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day through a range of meaningful, hands-on experiences.

The children explored sensory trays, painted on natural bark and enjoyed stories, music and movement. These experiences supported our toddlers to begin developing an understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and connections to Country.

A lovely day of learning, exploring and connecting together.

3D Shape Exploration

Today, our children explored 3D shapes through a colourful sensory experience using coloured rice and a variety of geometric shapes. As they scooped, poured and investigated, they compared sizes, explored volume and discovered how different shapes behave.

A wonderful example of play-based learning, where curiosity, exploration and hands-on experiences help build early mathematical thinking.
