King's Logan Village Year 9 students put their entrepreneurial skills to the test on Biz Day.

Students planned, created and ran their own small businesses, making decisions on product design, pricing, marketing and customer service. The experience gave them practical insight into what it's really like to operate in a competitive business environment.

Years 3–6 students visited the stalls, supporting the student-run businesses and enjoying the range of products on offer.

Thank you to everyone who supported our students and helped make the day a success.

I’m a King’s Kid

Meet Miah, a dedicated young athlete from King’s Pimpama Campus, currently in Year 5, who is making her mark in BMX racing both across Australia and on the international stage.

Driven by a desire to challenge herself and embrace an active sport, Miah began her BMX journey at just six years old. Four years on, her commitment is evident-training daily, refining her skills, and embracing every opportunity to grow.

Miah has already competed extensively across Australia and represented on the world stage in Europe, an achievement that reflects not only her talent, but her perseverance and courage.

Beyond competition, Miah values the friendships formed within the BMX community, where encouragement and sportsmanship are as important as performance. Her journey is supported by her parents, who invest in her opportunities; her coaches, who guide her focus and mindset; and her teachers, who champion her both in and out of the classroom.

Inspired by Olympic champion Saya Sakakibara, Miah now sets her sights on one day competing at the Olympic Games herself. She is also passionate about breaking stereotypes, showing that BMX is a sport where girls can thrive and succeed.

Miah’s story is one of determination, resilience, and heart-a true reflection of what it means to be a King’s Kid.

🎶 I’m a King’s Kid
From the moment Michelle first heard the cello through King’s instrumental program in Year 4, she was captivated by the depth and beauty of its sound. Already learning piano from the age of six, her passion for music has continued to grow through years of dedication, perseverance and the support of those around her.

Now in her tenth year of piano and seventh year of cello, Michelle currently holds her Grade 8 in cello and has achieved the AMusA in piano - one of the highest accomplishments in music studies. With 13 grades in total, the AMusA is typically completed at university level and has an approximate pass rate of just 33%. Alongside this incredible achievement, Michelle has received more than 100 awards and prizes throughout her musical journey.

Despite her success, Michelle’s heart remains grounded in gratitude. She is deeply thankful for her family, whose constant encouragement has supported her every step of the way, as well as the dedicated King’s staff who have invested in and believed in her throughout her journey.

Using her God-given talents to bless others is at the centre of everything she does. Michelle dreams of one day studying Music Performance at the Australian National University and creating a charity program that makes music lessons accessible to communities across Australia who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the gift of music.

Her advice to fellow students is simple yet powerful: “The rainbows are behind the cloudy days.” ✨

Today, we've had the joy of celebrating our mothers and mother figures across all our campuses, with special moments shared here at our Logan Village campus.

Through every hug, conversation, and simple act of care, we are reminded of the love and grace of God reflected in you. Your strength, kindness and quiet sacrifices shape the hearts of our students every day.

"Her children arise and call her blessed." — Proverbs 31:28

We pray you feel valued and deeply appreciated this Mother's Day.

Today, we held ANZAC commemorative services across our campuses. At King's Pimpama, students and staff honoured the courage and sacrifice of the ANZACs.

We give thanks for those who served and continue to serve, and reflect on the enduring values of courage, mateship, perseverance, and sacrifice.

Lest we forget.

Yesterday, students from across our campuses came together for the King's Inter-campus Choral Workshop.

Primary Senior Choir students shared a range of performances, including combined choral pieces, in a day that celebrated collaboration and a shared love of music. We were delighted to welcome guest conductor Mrs Deb Shearer-Dirie, an acclaimed choral conductor and adjudicator, who worked with students throughout the workshop.

Thank you to Mrs Deb Shearer-Dirie and our staff, Mrs Addison, Mrs Cross, Mrs Laird, and Mrs Reddrop, and to the many parents who attended and encouraged our students.
