Flaring your elbows out and shoulder pressing with the bench completely upright?

Try these two simple tweaks:
✅ Set the bench to around 75° instead of 90°
✅ Use a neutral grip with your elbows slightly tucked in

For many people, this feels more comfortable, puts less stress on the shoulders, and creates a smoother pressing movement.

Give it a try in your next workout and let us know how it feels! đŸ’Ș

New trend, new split, new challenge, new “the right way to do it.”

Deadlift or Romanian deadlift, which one should you actually be doing?

Neither one is better. They just have different purposes.

Want me to check on your deadlift form or want to finally learn how to deadlift properly? Comment or DM the word ‘deadlift’ or join me at Lift & Learn class on Tue at 5.45pm.

For a while, isolating myself felt like the answer.

I told myself I was an introvert, that I didn’t need group classes, running clubs, or a fitness community. That I’d finally figured out who I was.

It felt safe. Comfortable, even.

What I didn’t realize was that I was slowly losing connection with people - and getting lonelier without noticing it happening.

Then it started showing up everywhere. I was less happy. Nothing felt satisfying anymore, even when my training and programming were going well.

Turns out “safe” and “good for me” aren’t always the same thing.

New episode of the Sustainable Fitness Diary is up - this one’s about what two years of ‘labeling myself as an introvert in fitness’ actually taught me. Link in bio, or commend podcast.

Once you built your own systems, that’s what will help you keep going on this journey forever.

Instead of thinking about what you ‘should’ focus on your fitness journey, build a movement around what actually feels meaningful or enjoyable.

I used to think more was always better. Then I did the math.

Two days a week done well will take you further than five days done with resentment or burnout. The question you need to ask yourself is “what can I actually sustain?”

If you’ve been stuck waiting for the perfect time to commit to 4-5 days, or feeling guilty because you can’t maintain the frequency you think you should
.

Then episode 12 breaks down how to make twice-weekly training work, what the research actually says, and why starting with less might be the smartest move you make this year.
