**What's it actually like to be an earthmoving plant operator?** 🚜
Plant operators are in demand across SEQ due to a huge construction pipeline, particularly in the lead-up to the 2032 Brisbane Olympics.

Part 2 of Gabby's journey in our 'Crane Pathway' series.
Gabby's training pathway: DG licence ➜ RB ➜ RI ➜ C6
Gaining licences is 'a licence to learn'. Employers want you to have experience, or prove that you are willing to do what it takes to get it. Being tenacious and a little creative, with a 'can-do' attitude is certainly one way. We love your work Gabby! ❤️

Tools down, hooks up, legends. Happy Labour Day!
Queensland doesn’t move without tradies. The early starts, big days and the teamwork that keeps jobs ticking along - we see you. Labour Day’s a solid reminder to appreciate the people behind the progress (and the safe habits that get everyone home).
We'll be joining you in a bit of RnR, but will be all hands on deck Tuesday, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.

On ANZAC Day, we acknowledge the service and sacrifice of the diggers and all who have served Australia.
It’s also a reminder of the values that still matter in our industries: responsibility, teamwork, and looking out for our mates and all those around us.
Lest we forget.

⚠️ THINK YOU KNOW YOUR EWP CHECKS?
Most EWP issues don’t start when they're elevated - they start before the work begins.
Skipping or rushing the little things, can lead to big consequences.
Use the quick “3 up, 3 out, 3 down” scan: look up for overheads, check the ground, then scan around for people and plant.
Add a walk-around (tyres, leaks, guardrails), test the emergency stop, and do a function check.

What EWP training do you need to be job ready in QLD?
Getting the right EWP ticket is a great start, but being job ready often means building a broader skill set that employers value across different industries.
This can include training like working at heights and confined spaces, helping strengthen your capability on site.
Rather than seeing EWP as a single course, think of it as part of a training pathway that supports your employability across construction, maintenance, and other high risk work environments.

Heads-up if you’re trying to get hold of us next week: we’re closed Good Friday and Easter Monday so there may be a delay in getting back to you.
Good news for new bookings though: the Easter break creates two 4-day training weeks, which means dogman, rigging and crane tickets can be completed in 4 days instead of 5 (training days will run a little longer, so the full hours are covered).
