🎄🎅9 Days until Christmas 🎅🎄 and we have been busy decorating our rooms with Christmas cheer. We also celebrated our fourth Christmas Party at Dolphin Ave ELC on the weekend. Thanks to all those who joined us for the fun afternoon.

We had such an excellent night last night watching our latest Dolphin Ave Early Learning Centre Kindergarten group celebrate their graduation.

We have come a long way since watching the first group of 7 children graduate at the end of 2022. We had 36 children walk across the stage to collect their graduation certificates this year. Making this group even more special is that it contains our very first baby’s cohort that started with us in 2022 making them the first group to grow up through the whole centre.

It has truly been a pleasure watching these children grow and thrive and whilst we will most certainly miss our Kindergarten Class of 2025, we know they are ready to start their primary school journey.

👀 Look what we have been up to this past week 👀

👩‍🎓 Some of our educators attended The Reggio Emilia Approach Professional Development about Environment being the third teacher.
👨‍🚀 🌺 Kindergarten have just finished up their inquiry about space and explored Remembrance Day by doing a 1-minute silence, listening to the Last Post and crafting Poppies.
💡Pre-kindy have been exploring storytelling through craft with open-ended materials letting the children lead their learning
🛰 Junior kindy has been exploring space and loving their space song
🌱 Toddlers have recently made an herb garden and have been busy caring for it each day
🌷💐 Babies have been exploring the season Spring and Remembrance Day through Poppy making

🌷🌷🌷Step into Spring with Kindergarten. 🌷🌷🌷

Today the kindergarten class went and found beautiful flowers that have blossomed in the yard for Spring. We then used these as our inspiration for drawing. The children had a lot of conversations about about the colours, parts of a flower and comparing the different flowers.

This week Kindergarten have been learning about all things Fairy Tales! 🦄🌈🐷🐐

Thank you everyone for getting involved in our Biggest Morning Tea. Together we have raised over $250 for the Cancer Council and enjoyed a coffee and a cupcake while we were at it!

Edit: We have now raised over $370!!
