Children learn so much from the people around them, especially those they look up to. This was beautifully evident with Mason today. After watching his big brother prepare and present a speech at school, Mason was inspired to create and deliver his own speech to us at Kindy.
It was such an honour to watch him stand proudly in front of his peers, full of excitement and confidence as he shared his words. The children listened so attentively, showing respect and encouragement throughout his presentation. When Mason finished, the pride on his face was priceless.
Moments like these highlight the importance of children learning through observation, imitation, and meaningful relationships. They remind us how influential siblings, family members, peers, and educators can be in shaping confidence, communication skills, and a sense of belonging.
Experiences like this help children build self-esteem, resilience, and the courage to express themselves in front of others.
We are so proud of you, Mason!
Country Lane Early Learning Centre
Country Lane is a boutique service that is Reggio inspired. We adopt a play based, holistic approach towards education.
We aim to support children socially and emotionally so that they can build strong and meaningful dispositions towards learning.
Last night, our team had the opportunity to stop, sit, and self-reflect together. It was an incredibly positive and meaningful evening that created space for reflection, connection, and emotional wellbeing in a calm and supportive environment.
The room was thoughtfully prepared with yoga mats, dim lighting, calming music, and candles to promote relaxation and mindfulness. Tammy also surprised the girls with a rose and chocolate as a small gesture of appreciation and care for our teamβs wellbeing.
We are also so lucky to have Lyly, who guided us through a beautiful yoga journey to finish off our staff wellness night.
We feel incredibly grateful to work in such a positive environment that values educator wellbeing and understands the importance of supporting one another. By prioritising our wellbeing, we are able to be the best versions of ourselves when working with your children and building strong relationships and connections with them.
