📵✨ Give your phone a little vacation ✨📵
Log off, look up, and take some time to reset. As we get ready to return to school, we’re encouraging everyone to spend a little less time online and a little more time focusing on themselves.
Check your screen time, set some healthy limits, and notice how it makes you feel. A new workbook will be uploaded tomorrow to help you reset your mind 💪🧠
We’ll be sharing more simple wellbeing tips. And remember you’re always welcome to join HMS training or our community run/walk club to move, connect, and recharge together 🏃♀️🚶♂️💙

Keeping our Northern Gold Coast community safe begins with supporting our young people to engage in local sport, build connections, and prioritise their physical and mental wellbeing.
Sport provides young people with opportunities to grow confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a strong sense of belonging.
Through consistent participation in community competitions, young people develop healthy routines, positive relationships, and pathways to make empowered life choices.
We are proud to support youth in the Coomera area by actively engaging them in local competitions, with 8 successful teams currently participating across touch football and Oztag. These programs create safe, inclusive spaces where young people can thrive both on and off the field.
By working together, we can continue to strengthen our community, support families, and create positive futures for our children through sport, connection, and collaboration.
I am incredibly honoured to have received a nomination for the 2025 City of Gold Coast Safer Suburbs Awards today. It was inspiring to stand alongside so many passionate community members who are making a genuine difference in building safer, more connected neighbourhoods across our city.
A heartfelt thank you to the City of Gold Coast Council for recognising the ongoing efforts of individuals and organisations committed to uplifting and protecting our community.
To our incredible community supporters thank you for always standing by Happy Mindful Souls. And to our local sporting clubhouses, thank you for your continued support of the young people who play, grow, and connect through sport with HMS.

At this stage, please express your interest in these teams. Should it be necessary, coaches are prepared to manage teams under a new name and uniform, with HMS providing ongoing training support.

So much gratitude as we wrap up the year ✨
A huge thank you to our coaches for an incredible year. Thank you for coaching this year and for the unwavering support of Stacey, Teresa, Alicia, Jaxon and Maison with the NGCT teams in Term 4, while Emma and Jayson supported teams in GC Touch for term 4. Taking on the challenge and running it all we see you and appreciate you. Thank you for showing our communities the same values of kindness, care and respect. Congratulations on your teams success and all the positive community feedback 👏
Thank you GMan and Mikey for your ongoing support throughout the year at GC and NGCT we’re so grateful.
To all our volunteers, thank you for giving your time, energy and unconditional support to our youth and to HMS. And a massive congratulations to our junior coaches Maddy, Maison and Jaxon. You’ve made us so proud, sharing your skills and passing them on to the next generation 🙌
Our coaches are truly the backbone of HMS. They give their time, energy and hearts week in and week out.
We truly couldn’t have done this without the incredible support and love you show our community. Together, we impacted 102 youth this year through touch football and 78 through OZTag not including schools, extra competitions, additional coaching roles, and other sports we’re involved in. More importantly, we’ve made a huge impact on their mental health, wellbeing, sense of belonging, friendships, community connection, and lives. 💛
Please join us in acknowledging our 2025 HMS coaches:
• Maddison Ranginui
• Jaxon Ayton
• Maison Dunn
• Stacey Ayton
• Mikaere Hemara
• Jayson Huthmann
• Emma-Jo Huthmann
• Teresa Wilson-Teles
• Alicia Ranginui
A special acknowledgement to Manaia for completing his coaching course this year and supporting players and coaches on and off the field.
Thank you, coaches — we couldn’t do this without you 💛
