Her kid walked at one year, yours walked at eighteen months, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 it doesn’t matter.⁣⁣
Her kid potty-trained at two years old, yours didn't potty-train until four years old, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 it doesn’t matter.⁣⁣
Her kid recognized all his letters and numbers before pre-school, yours had no interest until almost four, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 it doesn’t matter.⁣⁣
Her kid was sleeping through the night by three months, yours wasn’t sleeping through the night until two years old, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 it doesn’t matter.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Because reaching developmental milestones early means 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 in the long run.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Because a college professor won’t wonder how old her students were when they could count to one hundred or spell their names.⁣⁣
And no one will know or care if the Harvard graduate or the CEO had a pacifier or didn't potty-train until five years old.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
What matters most is the whole child,⁣⁣
who 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 are,⁣⁣
and how kind 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 are⁣⁣
⁣⁣
So let the pressure go,⁣⁣
and let your kids be kids.⁣⁣

Don’t rush them through their childhoods,⁣⁣
and make them miss out⁣⁣
because they’re too busy meeting milestone after milestone.⁣⁣

World nursery rhyme week 2022
The children of Miss Leannes family daycare have all enjoyed a fun week of music ,play and activities and of course
their favourite Nursery Rhymes .
We stuck on twinkling stickers to our stars, fixed up poor Humpty with band-aids when he fell off the wall.
5 green speckled frogs jumped into the sensory pond where we had fun getting our hands all sticky .
We were lucky that the crocodile 🐊 didn’t eat us,when we sung Row ,row row your boat . But they sure made us scream 😱

We take our sensory play very serious at Miss Leannes Family daycare.
As our children touch and explore sensory objects, they are learning about texture, shape and the physical properties of these objects.
They begin to distinguish one object from another as they develop their earliest skills in classification and differentiation.
This begins to make us realise that children’s earliest interactions with the resources we offer are creating the foundations for future learning.
I have one opening coming up at the end of June for the following days -Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays .

Getting ready for school
Tracing is an effective way to teach handwriting. By having our children trace shapes and maze-like paths from left to right, top to bottom, or through jagged and curvy lines, this can help them develop fine motor control. This can also help our children learn how to orient their movements from top to bottom and left to right.

At Miss Leanne’s family daycare sensory play is one of our favourite.

What’s hiding in the jelly is a great way for the children to learn through play.

Since our first play experience with jelly, my family daycare kids have been asking if we could do it again. They had so much fun exploring their five senses with jelly and then cleaning up with some water play, I couldn’t resist. this time and hid some fruit in the jelly for them to squeeze ,squish and taste . It was great fun and it added to the excitement; my children squealed with delight when they discovered some of their favourite fruits in the jelly!

While my babies had so much fun squishing the jelly in between their fingers and sucking It of their hands.The water splash was a great way to give them a splash and a clean at the same time .

At Miss Leannes family daycare we care about our animals.
It’s important that children are pet and animal smart.
The children have helped set up their very own animal hospital.
Role play is super fun you can be and become anything you want .
The children of Miss Leannes family daycare have all become vets they take X-rays on the X-ray machine of the animals then fill in the health check form and take the temperatures of all the animals and give them all a needle.
