What an amazing weekend, we are stocked with the results, but this weekend wasn't just about medals.

It was about the child who competed for the very first time.

The student who once cried before stepping onto the mat and now walks on with confidence.

The athlete who had just earned a new belt and embraced the challenge.

The adult student who, after only three months of training, had the courage to compete.

The people who balance work, family life and still show up for training.

The parents, families and supporters who spent the weekend cheering from the sidelines.

And the coaches who believe in every student, every step of the way.

As a small, family-run academy, these moments mean everything to us. They remind us that success isn't only measured by medals—it's measured by courage, growth and the community we build together.

Last Sunday, our team stepped onto the mats once again at the South Pacific Championship, and we couldn't be prouder.

Competition is never just about medals. It takes courage to sign up, discipline to prepare, and character to step onto the mats and test yourself. Every single athlete who represented CJJA showed exactly that. 🥋

• Kids & Juveniles (8 competitors): 6 Gold 🥇 | 3 Silver 🥈 | 1 Bronze 🥉
• Adults (2 Competitors): 1 Gold 🥇 | 3 Silver 🥈

These medals are a reflection of the hard work happening on our mats every single week.

A memorable day for our team at one of the biggest submission grappling events in Australia.

Congratulations to , .rodbjj , Max and Bridie for stepping onto the mats and representing Careca Jiu Jitsu with courage, sportsmanship and heart.

🥇 – 1st Place

An outstanding performance from João, securing two submissions on his way to the final and finishing the day on top of the podium.

The final was incredibly close and hard fought, but João stayed composed and showed the determination we've come to expect from him.
Well deserved, champion. 👏

🥈 .rodbjj – 2nd Place

Pedro opened the day with a submission victory before advancing to a tough final.

After a great match, he finished with a silver medal and another valuable experience at a high-level event.

A fantastic effort and plenty to build on moving forward. 👏

🥉 – 3rd Place
Max faced a very tough division and some challenging opponents throughout the day.

He showed resilience, kept pushing forward and earned a well-deserved place on the podium.

Bridie was the only girl on the bracket and stepped into a challenging bracket of four competitors.

She showed tremendous courage, embraced the challenge and gained valuable experience against tough opposition.

We're incredibly proud of her willingness to step up and test herself. 👏🤍
