*Contact RISE Learning Hub by email – [email protected] to place an Expression of Interest. This way it is
easier for our team to determine the order in which families will be offered places. Please include the age of your
child/children along with day/ days required and whether they are homeschooled or through a distance education
provider.
*If we are able to accommodate your request, we will send you through an offer of placement along with enrolment
forms and an information package.
*These forms are to be completed in full, signed and returned at your earliest convenience by email. NOTE: Due to
limited places being available, we are only able to hold your place for 7days from the date of offer before offering it
to another child.
* After receipt of completed documentation, RISE Learning will advise as to whether your application is successful.
This may be done via email. If successful RISE Learning will contact you via phone to discuss your child’s placement
and to give you an opportunity to ask any questions before your child commences with us.
* An invoice will be sent for the days your child is enrolled.
* Payment will need to be made prior to the commencement of your child attending. Payments are either in full for
a 10week term OR 2 payments at 5weekly intervals per term.

We believe at RISE that families require ongoing support and encouragement when embarking on an alternative way
of schooling for their child/children. Whilst there are many homeschool and distance education platforms to provide
learning resources ( curriculum), there appears to be a lack of hands on support for families. Benefits of attending

Our commencement date for 2022 will be Monday 7th February. We are situated in the Oxenford/Coomera Youth and Community Centre, 25 Leo Graham Way. OXENFORD. GOLD COAST.

---Our Program----

RISE is NOT a school or substitute for school. All curriculum and assessment materials/requirements are the responsibility of families and distance education providers.

RISE is a support centre that tutors, mentors, assists and builds upon the learning already being provided by families and distance education providers.

We aim to make your child’s time with us a positive, engaging and fun learning experience where they feel safe and supported at all times and where they are able to flourish.

We offer support for children attending our hubs with an emphasis on core learning areas english, maths and science during our independent learning sessions throughout the day. These sessions are included in our daily timetable where children bring in their learning materials and receive assistance from our highly qualified and trained team members. If children have completed their learning content for the week, they must bring in some form of revision or extension work to do during these sessions. This ensures uninterrupted learning blocks of independent working time for all our children in attendance.

At RISE we also offer a range of holistic learning experiences such as fitness and skill development, team building activities, growth mindset, art, craft, music, dance, sports and a variety of life skills eg. cooking. These are included in our daily timetable during our afternoon sessions. Learning experiences during this time will vary at the discretion of team members.

We encourage children to embrace our RISE values as well as develop a Growth Mindset.

We believe children will thrive in our inclusive learning environment as they develop confidence, along with communication and social skills through interacting and working with others.

RISE Learning Hub based at the Oxenford & Coomera Community Youth Centre are currently taking enrolments. Your children can attend up to 3 days a week where qualified teachers tutor them and assist them with curriculum the homeschool or distance education provider has given them.

They have an opportunity to socialise and learn life skills while parents either go to work or simply have some well deserved time out.
