Next stop the ZOO 🐊

Following our morning routine which has been extended to challenge our friends. Including counting all the way to 20 and recognising our own names.

We opened our class zoo. This involved lots of communication and role play. Our friends exchanged money for tickets, bought a bag to the zoo and made sure they were wearing a hat as they visited all the animals at the zoo.

We discovered that be careful of the crocodiles as they might bite.

During group time, we enjoyed a wonderful story, Turtle Tricks. The children loved learning about turtles and discovering interesting facts about their world.

After the story, we created an ocean scene together and explored the different animals that can be found in the sea. To encourage critical thinking, I added a dinosaur to the ocean habitat. The children quickly noticed that it did not belong and confidently explained that dinosaurs do not live in the ocean. It was wonderful to see them using their knowledge to identify and classify animals.

Once upon a time I couldn’t hold myself up on the playground… but I kept trying. 💪 😊

💫 1-3 years olds need approx 13 grams, whilst 5-8 year olds need approx 19 grams of Protein Daily
