The boys have officially joined the ! 🤘🚲

Each of them got to pick their own pair of Fist Handwear⁠ gloves, and it didn’t take long before they were showing them off to everyone. 🍑❄️🔥💙

They’re a perfect fit, super grippy on the bars, and tough enough to handle all the backyard riding, crashes, and adventures that come with learning new skills.

Safe to say they’re already asking which design they’re getting next… 😂

Who’s got the best style? Peach 🍑, Snowflake ❄️ or Blue 💙?

Picked up some new ROCKBROS Australia 🇦🇺 helmets for the boys and I’m really impressed with them. 👌

I wanted something that gave them proper protection as they’re getting more confident on the backyard pump track, but I also didn’t want them stuck wearing a full-face helmet for every ride.

The best part is the chin bar is removable, so they can go from full-face protection for the bigger features to a regular trail helmet for cruising around. It’s a really practical setup instead of needing two separate helmets.

Looking forward to seeing these three build their confidence, send some new jumps, and hopefully avoid testing the helmets too often! 🤞😂

First jump line almost complete. Roll in ramp into the cutlaps 70cm adjustable kicker, into a small roller, then into the homemade timber mega roller. 🤘

Next up is the feature I’m most excited about—a raised wooden U-turn platform at the back of the block. The plan is to carry speed up onto the platform, carve around the elevated turn, then choose your line back down. You’ll be able to drop into the next jump line, hit progressively harder skinnies, or take the drop lines ranging from 200mm all the way to 900mm depending on your confidence. It’s all about creating a backyard skills park that’s fun to progress on for years to come. 🚲🔥

A productive day on the backyard MTB build! 🤘

Today’s job was giving the roll-in tower a big upgrade.

I sealed two of the walls with concrete plastic, ready for panelling. Once it’s all enclosed, the entire space underneath will become dry, protected storage.

Up top, I laid another layer of concrete plastic before installing 150mm × 25mm treated pine plinth boards. This not only helps weatherproof everything underneath, but also gives the boys a much safer, less slippery surface to ride on in all conditions.

The best part? Every single board on top came from the leftover timber from my cutlaps ramp build. I honestly thought I’d run out halfway through, but somehow I had the exact amount needed—not one board left over. You couldn’t plan that any better! 👌

Slowly but surely it’s all coming together. Every day gets us one step closer to the ultimate backyard riding spot for the Chaos Crew. 🚲🔥

🚧 Backyard Pump Track Update 🚧

The project is moving along nicely! 💪

This week’s progress:

* ✅ Large berm is now shaped.
* ✅ Rollers are built and taking shape.
* ✅ Base is in for what will be a huge tabletop jump.
* ✅ 3 trailer loads of timber posts collected… with many more still to come!

It’s starting to look like a real track now, and there’s still plenty planned. The next stage is getting the dirt shifted onto the new berm and other features underway.

This is turning into an awesome backyard riding space for the whole family. Stay tuned—there’s plenty more to come! 🤘🚵

cutlaps 70cm Medium Kicker & Landing Setup

Finally got the CutLaps 70cm Medium Kicker and Landing setup finished and in the backyard!

Built entirely from treated pine for durability and year-round outdoor use.

One of the best features of this setup is that both the kicker and landing are fitted with wheels, making them easy to move around the yard. This means we can start with a small, confidence-building gap and gradually increase the distance as the kids progress and build their skills.

So far it’s been the perfect setup for:

* Learning proper jumping technique
* Building confidence safely
* Progressing from small gaps to larger jumps
* Keeping things fresh by changing the layout whenever we want

Really impressed with the CutLaps design—solid, stable, and smooth to ride. Looking forward to seeing the kids grow into bigger jumps over time! 🚲🤘

Cutlaps Medium Kicker Ramp Build 🚲🔥

Finally finished building the cutlaps Medium Kicker Ramp from the Cutlaps plans and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

✅ Built from the official Cutlaps Medium Kicker plans check out his website for the plans and subscribe to his YouTube.
✅ Full timber construction with a smooth transition
✅ Upgraded the entry section with 20mm form ply for extra strength, durability, and a smoother roll-in compared to standard ply
✅ Solid enough to handle plenty of sessions on the DJ bike

The form ply lip should hold up much better to repeated impacts and makes the whole ramp feel more planted when hitting it at speed.

Now it’s time to see what the Marin Alcatraz 2 can do once my knee is healed but for now the kids can enjoy it.🤘

Stay tuned for the next build being the landing platform designed by cutlaps to perfectly accompany this ramp.

Ollie’s bike got a serious style boost this week! 😎

🔧 Chaos Crew Garage Update

Milo’s bike just got another upgrade!

The old black grips have been retired and replaced with some bright blue FUNN lock-on grips. A simple change, but what a difference it makes. Better grip, more comfort, and way more style points.

Safe to say Milo approves. 😎
