🌟 What's On at Glenview - Week 8 🌟

What a fantastic way to finish last week! It was wonderful to see our students and staff embrace the magic of Book Week, with so many creative costumes, engaging activities and a shared love of reading on display across the school. Thank you to everyone who helped make the celebrations so special. 📚✨

We have another busy and exciting week ahead at Glenview, from Reading Wizards to Craft with Chappy Jess, and our annual Father's Day Stall, 1C & 2E look forward to welcoming special visitors for their Father's Day Afternoon on Thursday.

🎯 Focus of the Week: We set learning goals and work towards achieving them.

🌈 Colour Run 2026: Have you created your child's Colour Run profile yet? The fundraiser launched last week and the excitement is building! Every dollar raised will support our rainforest upgrade project. The class with the most student profiles created by Tuesday, will enjoy an icy pole party, so jump online, create your child's profile and help your class race to the top of the leaderboard! Winner announced on parade.

🌟 Our Focus of the Week: We move quietly, safely and sensibly around the school.
Let’s all do our part to help keep our school a safe and happy place for everyone! 😊

📚 Book Week is here, with our Book Week Parade on Friday at 9am — we can’t wait to see everyone’s wonderful costumes! Check out Mrs O'Toole's Book Week Activities too, there's plenty to do! 📖✨

🎶 There’s plenty happening across the school this week, including Concert Band, Reading Wizards, Auskick, Little Explorers, Active Wednesdays, Senior Choir, Rock Band, Chess Club, Robotics and more!

👀 And looking ahead… don’t forget our Pupil Free Day on Friday 4 September, P&C Father’s Day Stall on Tuesday 1 September, 1C & 2E Father’s Day Afternoon Tea on Thursday 3 September, and Small Schools OzTag on Friday 11 September.

A few quick reminders for tonight:

🍕 Pizza orders have now closed.
🎟️ Wristbands have been handed out this afternoon.
🙋 Volunteers: We still have a few spots available — even a short shift would be a huge help!
🧺 Kids must be supervised at all times. Parents are welcome to bring a picnic rug, chair or favourite beverage to relax and hang out around the junior oval.

📅 Week 6 is here at Glenview State School! 🤠🎉

We're looking forward to another exciting week of learning, friendship and fun!

This week's focus aligns with Bullying No Way: National Week of Action, as we explore the difference between being a friend and being friendly, and how kindness, inclusion and respect help make Glenview a place where everyone belongs. 💙🤝

⭐ This week, we're also cheering on our amazing Lightning Cup Netball Team as they represent Glenview at the competition on Friday. We wish all players the very best and know you'll make us proud! 🏐⚡

🤠 Dust off your boots and hats because our P&C Western-Themed School Disco is happening on Friday night! We can't wait to see our students having a fantastic time with friends on the dance floor. A huge thank you to our wonderful P&C for organising this exciting event.

Other highlights this week include: 🎵 Concert Band, Choir and Rock Band

👨‍👧 Prep 2027 Orientation on Tuesday where our future preppies experience Italian, Music & P.E.!
